There is a stat that Højlund is the striker that receives the least amount of passes from his teammates in the PL. Even strikers at relegation teams get better service than him. I’m not saying that he is one of the top strikers in the premier league, but he is being massively let down by his team mates, and Erik Ten Hag’s system as a whole.

I raised an eyebrow at the transfer fee, but I will absolutely defend Hojlund. Dude is supremely talented and hard working, but gets absolutely no service from players like Antony. He has had some huge misses, but imagine the pressure of being 20 and having this kind of pressure on your shoulders. He doesn't even have someone like Cavani to relieve some of the pressure and to impart wisdom and support. Who the hell is he supposed to learn from, Martial?

Well those transfer fees are crazy tbh. If hojlund would be sold to a non epl club it would probably be much cheaper. I wont forget anthony transfer. Before man unt bought him he was linked to another non epl team (cannt remember which one) as soon as united wanted him the price skyrocketed lol. Thats why at the end epl teams cannt have that huge of an advantage in comparison to the other leagues imo. All that money but other non epl clubs are taking advantage out of them and sell their players for insane amount of money. I understand that though.

That doesn't stop people making clickbait thumbnails like this one. It's not even correct on the numbers. If he put "PL Stats" in the thumbnail then it would be honest and make sense. I can say Hojlund has "Scored 5 goals in 6 games" and pretend the PL doesn't exist like HITC is pretending the CL doesn't exist.
@YWX685
@YWX685 5 ай бұрын
@@yutehube4468 it's not a clickbait thumbnail. He does have a terrible start at his new club. It's true that he scored 5 goals in 6 games in the CL, which is excellent especially for a young player, but given his overall performances and the way the team looks overall it's a fluke. And to be fair he scored 5 goals in 3 games which all ended with United losing. 4 of them were against Galatasaray and Copenhagen. Other than that he did absolutely nothing. And I mean nothing. He doesn't shoot, he doesn't pass, he doesn't know what to do with the ball when he does get it, he doesn't know where to stand on the pitch and where to run, and he has no chemistry with anyone in the team. He reminds me of Jovic in Real Madrid, only in his case with Antony and Garnacho it's like having an attack of 3 Jovices. He didn't adapt to the team, and the team didn't adapt to him, and as a result he barely exists. So yes, this is a terrible start at his new club.

Alfie, please consider doing a video on what's going on in Norwegian football. Next season, we will have an interesting situation with our three Oslo-clubs, namely Vålerenga, Lyn and KFUM (colloquially called "Kåffa") Vålerenga: One of our biggest clubs in Norwegian football, and without doubt the biggest Oslo-club. Vålerenga got relegated for the first time in 23 years. It's fair to say it came as a shock to most people. They were aiming for Europe before the season began. Vålerenga has a modern stadium with 17K in capacity (may not sound like a lot, but our biggest stadium here is Ullevaal, with a capacity of 26K. Most stadiums have a capacity below 10K) Lyn: Lyn is an interesting story in and of itself. This club was liquidated in 2010, and sent directly from the top division, all the way down to the 5th tier. They've effectively managed to bounce back from the depths of obscurity, and are now newly promoted to the second division, where they will play their arch-rivals, Vålerenga, for the first time in over a decade KFUM: Lastly, "Kåffa". This club is weird, where to begin.... well, KFUM literally stands for YMCA - yes, this club is christian. They don't have a proper pitch or facilities in general. They play their matches at a typical sunday league standard pitch/field. They've never played in the top division before, but secured promotion to the top flight just now Other than that, Bodø/Glimt is still going strong, Molde seems to make a resurgence, and Rosenborg have to take care now not to follow in Vålerenga's footsteps Next season should be exciting 😊

He was not a model citizen at Liverpool. He often wouldn’t make an effort in training. On the training ground the players would occasionally antagonise him and all of a sudden he’d become unplayable, but otherwise he wasn’t applying himself. Meanwhile during training games, if his side was losing he sometimes walked off the pitch and just watched. Most just see him as lazy but he had mental health struggles that held him back. I always wanted him to succeed and I will always have a soft spot for him but he was never a model citizen.

Something that rumours say was known to the medical department at Liverpool which is why they were happy to let him go. Manchester United pay top shelf prices for middle shelf players. Højlund is certainly better than he has shown this far, but for that kind of money they could have gotten 3 Bonifaces (9 goals/ 8 assists in 15 games) for example. They always make the wrong decision. For a decade now. What does that mean again, when you don't learn from your mistakes? They should have kept Rangnick or at least get a couple of the players he recommended.

Quite sad when you see such magnificent players as Torres and Hazard become such poor players. They both had bad injuries and many will point to that as the reason they lost form but I believe it was a crushing lack of confidence that finished them. Look at their games for Chelsea and Real respectively and although they may not be in peak physical shape as they once were ( difficult to tell) it's more obvious that their confidence in their ability is shot to pieces. A top player has to have supreme confidence in what they are doing and you cannot fake confidence no matter how hard you try.

Barcelona should be the winner. After Neymar's departure, they wasted an enormous cash used from Neymar's transfer to buy the likes of Dembele, Coutinho, and Griezmann, with all of them being flopped with Barcelona (Coutinho being the worst one, having struggled with badass injuries as well). Not only that, it also contributed to the club's incredible decline, with the club suffering two humiliating UCL defeats (0-4 to Liverpool and 2-8 to Bayern Munich) and the pandemic that really collapsed the whole club in terms of financial, which led to the big departure of Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, and Lionel Messi.

I think it would have been more interesting if it was players who had terrible start but turned it around. Now it was just bit terrible signings list which wasn't as interesting and similiar lists have been made a lot.

Correction - It would not be nice to see Richarlison's form pick up as he is an extremely unlikeable individual.

In normal life it's hard to see how anybody gets over spending literally tens of millions on a player that ends up doing nothing. Some of the signings are so bad, for so much real money, it's a wonder nobody is ruined over it. It seems most have zero shame about throwing obscene amounts of money at complete garbage. Most even carry on recommending players as if they know anymore than the average punter.

I remember I was round the pub with a few mates, news was on before the football (euro 2012), and they had the subtitles on "Spain would have had more goals, but Fernando Torres is still sh*t... short of match practice" flashed up and I had to step outside...

Hey! I've got an idea! Why not talk about a couple reasonably priced signings who did very well for their clubs? I'll start - Christian Pulisic, for *all 3 of his clubs.* Yes, even at Chelsea! He did better there than any of these insanely overpriced mistakes. How he ended there says more about Chelsea than him. Especially considering how well he's doing for Milan 😁

Well, I told you ever since the summer time, and even before that, fro January on, foreveryone have began noticing him in LaDea shirt, and started talking about him making a huge transfer, either in AC Milan, r in Man-Utd... I've told you all!"The boy is a rough diamond, and in time he'll become a superb N9" But, He's gonna need at least 1, better even 2 more in Atalanta, where he'll play under Gasperini (who's MUCH, MUCH BETTER COACH than Ten Hag, who would've develop him into formidable fore), both in Serie A (where each round is dog eat dog for points, plus, he would've been playing EL, and next season perhaps again (for LaDea of course) again in UCL! And that would've done a huge impact on the 19 year ld kid, preparing him for a huge transfer! On the other hand, leaving to M-Utd., a team with a clear direction (at any evel of the game, infront, or behind the scenes)... but still, there were Man-U fans saying: "By ten, he;d be wrth way ver 100 mil. Better get him now!" WELL, YOU'VE ASKED FR IT, YOU GOT IT! I'm just glad that my AC Milan ppl know much better than Man-Us ppl, not to throw money as if they're growing on the trees! But the saddest thing is that it might destroy the boy's career (as it did to so many),although I persoonally think, it may only slow his progress down, not destroy it. And if he's smart enough, go bakc to a team in Serie A, ike Bologna, who are fulfilled with young talents from Scotland, Italy, Netherlandsd.... and their superb young coach, Tiago Motta (again, a smart guy who didn't ran after money in Inter and PSG) , who misses exactly a classic N9 to his great offensive & young team, that could very well end up in Top 4 (of course, everyone's predicting that this Bologna team will be taken apart in the summer regardless if they finish in Top 4, or at 7th place and in Conference League. But, that remains to be seen! They are financially stable just starting to rebuild their new modern stadium... s I don't think they;ll go down so easily. Especially having the former Atalanta;s chief scout from this season (the man who turned LaDea into one of the members of Italian "7 Sisters", pushing Fiorentina from the spot 10 years ago, playing in UCL for 4 years in a row, reached UCL semis.... so, I don't think Bologna will sell out their team ust like that! However, the point is - LET YOUNG PLAYERS REMAIN IN THE MID-TABLE CLUBS (with ambitions to play in Europe) THEY'RE THRIWING, forat least 2, 3 seasons, before you take them to a club where they can go up even further more! And definitely NOT IN A CLUB LIKE MAN-U, where the entire team will be put on his back, to bring them out of the whole they were in for more than 10 years! Do you think that if Haaland went to Utd, even scoring 60 goals there too, he would've taken taken them to a better place than what they truly are - a team lower than Galatasaray, Copenhagen.... So, better let kids like the young Dane to play for Bologna, and after 2 years, bring him back, full of confidence and self-esteem! And do that s**t to other kids! Joshua Zirkzee is the one for whom I'm afraid the most, after the great performances he began showing off in Bologna this (his 2nd) year on the team, forning a formidable duo with Ferguson and Orsolini and Saelemakers!

Is 7 goal involvements in first 17 games "on fire"? I mean, just the fact that stat is goal involvements and not just goals kinda says no for a CF and, once again, being old enough to have watched it happen.. Balotelli did not start "on fire" at City, he was woeful from day 1 and got a couple tap ins all season.
