Learn more about how to naturally balance hormones and manage menopause on my website here: draxe.com/10-ways-balance-hor...
Hormones - such as estrogen, testosterone, adrenaline and insulin - are extremely important chemical messengers that affect many aspects of your overall health. Hormones are secreted by various glands and organs including your thyroid, adrenals, pituitary, ovaries, testicles and pancreas. The entire endocrine system works together to control the level of hormones circulating throughout your body, and if one or more is even slightly imbalanced it can cause widespread, major health problems.
In this episode of Ancient Medicine Today, Jordan Rubin and I share foods, essential oils, herbs, spices, nutrients and supplements to help naturally balance hormones and manage menopause.

Perimenopause is 10 years or less prior to menopause. Menopause is one day of your life: the day you have not a had a period after 12 consecutive months. Post menopause is every day after the day you reach “menopause” I learned this from Dr. Sara Gottfried. Her book is the Hormone Cure.

I'm taking notes and I have no problem with that or any problem following the video, but it would be so great to have a list of products that one can just copy and paste to a list. Thank you both!

@@chocolatcats There are a lot of Doctors who actually Study Nutrition outside of that Curriculum. Some have a Background in Nutrition. The others are just Not interested _(in Seeking more knowledge which is their responsibility as doctors)_ and may Refer patients to a Dietitian/Nutritionist when needed. You have to Enroll in a Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist Program in College to receive extensive training, knowledge about Food and a Degree in that area of Study. That will Not be the Focus in Conventional Medicine. In Holistic Programs it's a Big part of the Curriculum and in Nutrition/Dietitian Degree Program Courses.

Magnesium is a game changer. I use the topical spray on kind and spray it on at night before bed. It’s helped my insomnia and helps with pain, headaches, body aches, cramps. My favorite supplement I’ve discovered recently. It’s amazing how well it works.

@@HH-gv8mx you can make your own magnesium liquid with pure magnesium flakes (the one I use is by a company called Life-flo a salt from the ancient Zechstein seabed). I mix a half water half salt solution and rub it on the soles of my feet every night. Also, Dr. Mist makes a deodorant spray which is magnesium based. I’ve been using both products for more than 8 years and I find I fall asleep faster at night and rarely get muscle cramps.

Thank you Dr's. I am 60, hit menopause at 50 and suffered through it without HRT. For the past 5 yrs I have had brain fog, insomnia and weight gain with the inability to lose the weight. My quality of life has suffered and I am crawling through the day and my life. Just existing. Fat, exhausted with no more zest for life.

So blessed to have made the conscious decision to have my babies in my 20s because gosh i was told today from my go that I likely wouldn’t have been able to if I waited to mid 30s! I work out, eat well, am a qualified nutritionist so am still in shock at this being my life! Need motivation and hope that I can do something to help myself which I’ve found in this video, so thanks again 🙏

I remembered my Mother using all those herbs 🌿 like thymes, sage, oreganos etc to cook. Also she brewed teas specially chamomile and peppermint to helping the digestion and to drink cold if we were thirsty. Still today we used all them in our daily lives. I talked with my Americans friends about it and they looked to me as a weirder 🤓 because of it. Some of them never try a natural broth or don’t know the herbs or natural roots like ginger and turmeric .

I am 47 and started my cycle at barely 12 years old and quickly was diagnosed with endometriosis and that has always completely controlled and taken over my life. I now have a long list of health issues even though I went to the gym 5 days a week and ate really healthy. I have extreme problems with hormonal imbalances and even some hormones that on test results are at 0. I have really bad thyroid and adrenal problems..gut issues etc. I really believe in all things natural. I had all these tests done by a naturopathic dr. I am also dealing with really bad estrogen dominance. I appreciate this information very, very much. Thank you for making this video and helping me understand better.

I’ve also gained a lot of fat around my waist, and I’ve always had a small waist and flat stomach before that 😩 so frustrating! I’ve been doing IF + low carb and it has helped a bit.

Wow, soooo much information! Gonna watch it again! Man, my kitchen is a food factory for so many of the foods you mention. I make organic red cabbage kimchi with organic daikon, garlic and carrots,; organic red kraut with ginger, garlic and turmeric; fermented beets with ginger; fermented cherry tomatoes; fermented carrots; beet apple kvass;, carrot, orange, ginger kvass; kombucha; water kefir; organic, whole milk Bulgarian yogurt and kefir. I sprout broccoli, clover, alfalfa, lentils, fenugreek and mung. My outdoor garden is full of cruceferous greens: kale, collards, mustards of many colors and turnips. Right now we're eating the budding tops for salads and stir frying the greens. I also do a self massage with essential oils. We find reishi mushrooms, black and yellow chanterelles and other mushrooms wild! Our grocery store sells shitake for the same price as portabellas. Love Trader Joe's cheese's! Goat and sheep milk cheeses especially.

Please help! I am a 23 years old male, 180 cm tall, 70 kg. Is it possible for me to be diabetic? The reason I ask is because I did the blood test recently (did it twice). The first one showed that my sugar is higher than normal, the second showed it right to be right on the border line. I have been suffering from acnes for 7 years and has put myself through a lot of stress as a result of it. I took all the vitamins from A to K2, minerals from Calcium to Zinc in many shapes and forms that are available out there (citrate, chelates, oratate, gluconate, etc); herbs from Ashwagandha to Tarragon in dried, liquid, capsules, and natural forms. I stoped taking them all a couple of months ago and I feel horrible. My current diet for every day is: Brussel sprouts, salmon, avocados, buckwheat, almonds and dried apricots. My activity level: swim for 30 minutes and workout for 1 hour everyday in the morning before breakfast. As soon as I leave the swimming pool, I am feeling incredible but once I have my first meal, I feel horrible and this feeling remains with me until I go to bed. Next day is the same and such have been almost all my days recently. What should I do? Thank you!

Max Johnson thank you for taking the time to write that. I do try and get the majority of the nutrients I need from food but I know there's things I'm lacking. I really need to find a good dr and spend the time doing some research.
