Indeed! My husband and I were doing the math recently: if we work overtime we only really keep about 60 cents on the dollar. Not spending a dollar is keeping the whole dollar (yes, I know we paid taxes etc on that saved dollar as well but still…)

The way I always think of it is poor is an income problem, and broke is a spending problem.

Thank you for this video! I have friends that tell me that their husbands make so much money , but yet they are in debt. Everyone wonders how we can have no debt except for our home loan. Its a mindset and thinking outside the box.

It’s easier to eat at home if you know what your having that night in the morning, then maybe use a slow cooker

Home cooked meals are so much more tasty. The few times we’ve eaten out in the last five or six years, it has been sheer disappointment. Too much money for the taste or should I say lack of taste.

Great video! I've made many purchases because I watched KZfaqrs showing their Amazon Hauls, Dollar Tree Hauls, etc...Definitely not a good idea for me to watch those hauls, especially if it's kitchens tools and gadgets. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday.

Same here! We are definitely influenced by the influencers 🤣 I am doing a low spend year and I've vowed to be more mindful of what I am buying and why. I did really well in Jan.

Worst for me is the decluttering and organizing videos. Those influencers make me want to replace what I already have in order to have a prettier and matching containers and small kitchen appliances 🥴

Exactly what I did - I saved the money after I payed back my car and In September 2022 I bought a new to me car with that money. It felt soooooo good! And I´m still saving the money for my next one. Hugs from Germany ♥

You know what really surprised me? It was how much I saved when I stopped buying the trivial stuff that I never thought of as expense; the soda and bubble gum next to my office, after finishing the lunch I brought from home. I thought I was doing good since I cook at home…. But oh my gosh, that soda and bubble gum reeeally added up at the end of the month. Save on the small stuff and you will be surprised😊

Great tips. I only eat out once a month and it’s more special and something I look forward to. I also put the income from a side hustle directly into a separate account and that’s strictly savings.
