The AK47 was not based on the STG 44. It is similar in appearance, but the operating system is closer to the M1 Garand, long stroke piston, dual locking lugs, and the unitized trigger group.

You really need to do some more research about JFK’s death. There were actually 2 guns recovered from the TSBD, and 2 different kinds of .38 caliber shells found at Tippit’s murder site (one for a revolver, another for a .38 auto). Unless Oswald had 4 guns that day, something is strange.

Good history lesson and pretty much right on re Oswald, the "Valentine's Day Massacre," the AR/AK and ire of Anti-Gunners towards Glocks (esp., due to "Die Hard"). Re "Corps," think "Core"(no "ps")-just trying to help. As far as the Thompson, it's sad that so many people, around Prohibition (and Now), believe(ed) many Fictional movies as Fact! Also, FDR, very different than Teddy, was a "4 termer," an ardent Socialist Dem, Anti-2A for We, the Average People, made SCOTUS 8-1 during his tenure and worse! People, including AOC, have called LGB the next FDR... for a reason.

DA/SA with decocker is how Walther intended the P99. I made a mistake of buying a P99 QA. It's awful, and yes the decocker is silly on it. Eventually I switched to a Beretta, but I'd like to get a P99 AS model. I'd still never buy a Canik.

i rember as a kid, in the 80s.. my father had afew rifles US mail ordered to him. 1 was the very 1st 30.06 bolt action i ever saw. i am pretty sure it mail ordered and delivered.

Do AK/AR/non-SBRed "pistols" count as pistols and handguns in statistics? or do they go off the round used (which is also flawed)? I would guess they would do that way if the gun is never found.
