Brian Scalabrine peaked in his 4th season at 6.3ppg and was never the same after that. People have debated for years why his meteoric rise stopped so abruptly. We all have our theories.

@@saiken811 They wanted IT at the point cause he was good and his size prevented him from playing elsewhere. They couldn't play Tyreke at the 2 because he couldn't shoot plus I believe they had Marcus Thornton then and he had shown he could shoot in New Orleans. Because Tyreke was big and strong they played him slightly undersized at the 3. We all knew they should have put split Tyreke's time between starting PG and off-ball guard when IT was on the floor but ..... our Kings usually dont make the smart decision.

Nah he hit rock bottom in 2002-2003 (age-30, benched midseason), but enjoyed a career renaissance the next 4 years. In fact, 2004-2005 (age-32) was his best season since he left Toronto in 1998. The reality is he was never that good. He padded stats early in his career with the expansion Raptors, but the Raptors didn't see him as a franchise cornerstone and traded him because Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady needed higher usage. The Blazers had a stacked roster in the late '90s/early 2000s, so Stoudamire became just a rotation piece.

to put Deron Williams on this list is crazy. Against Denver in 2010 he averaged 26 and 11 on 49% from the field and 48% from 3. matter of fact after that san antonio series he went 5 straight playoff series average at least 20 points and 8 assist. the ankle injury is the only thing that made him fall off. you should’ve put drose on the list as well

Keith Van Horn is another guy who started out pretty decent but didn't seem to improve. He put up numbers such that the Nets had a consolation for not getting Duncan, but his game didn't seem to improve. The Nets made the playoffs his rookie season but then cratered until Jason Kidd arrived.
