I would argue the worst era for being a Knicks fan was the Phil Jackson/Steve Mills era. They blew up a 2 seed for people like Lou Amundson, Kyle O’Quinn, terrible signings like Calderon, terrible draft decisions like Frank, Cleanthony Early, we got lucky with Tingus Pingus. I would much rather have the incompetency of IT than have somebody like Phil Jackson blatantly destroy the franchise and it’s reputation.

Next year to the finals, and then conf. finals the year after..... and then disaster.... Eddy Curry, Michael Sweetney, Jared Jeffreys, Chris Duhon, ufffff. The Melo days were also awful for the the potential team development we gave up to bring Melo. Now we are back!!! Finally!!

The Melo era was handled poorly not because of him but bc of management attempting to make Bargnani work which was a huge mistake bc it didnt work with the players there. Chandler got hurt and KP's injury did them in. Wrong the Knicks were not willing to trade the amount of 1st rd picks to get Mitchell and that was a great move
