Elon Musk thinks there is a real possibility that we are in a simulation. If a guy as smart as him considers it a possibility, then it is definitely a possibility. It sounds crazy, but the truth, whatever it is, is probably far crazier.

I've often pondered this question (and many other philosophical ones) and I end up in a bad way after a while. I now accept that "I don't know, and never will know" the truth of these things. But people who think we are in a a simulation, or lack free-will, or who knows what... Are NOT Crazy. They are probably closer to the truth than most people realize :)@@jimbernard3289

​@@curtispyketech I also find comfort in knowing that no one knows the answer. Otherwise, humans would try to control and capitalize on it. Religion is a good example of this. The masses are safer this way. As smart as we like to think we are, I don't believe we were ever equipped (biologically or technologically) with the ability to decrypt and understand the true origins of life, if that makes any sense. Like, a dog can never learn to speak or build a car, yet they're intelligent in their own right. We might be the dogs of the universe lol.

We are definitely the dogs of the universe :). the question is do we have a master? Or Masters? And if we do have one (or many), where are they? Who / what are they? We get thrown into life, into the universe, seemingly alone. It is all so very strange.@@jimbernard3289

Very interesting. If you steal from one person, you are a criminal. if you steal from EVERYONE you are okay :). That said, it is hard to copyright a "technique". Hi Aquarat! As it stands now, you can monetize them (as far as I am aware) however the Sora tool is still not accessible (for most people). They have some more tweaks to do and they are having safety (red) teams test it right now. That said, Mira Murati did say that she expects this tool to launch this year (she didn't give a date though).

@@curtispyketech Yes, IMO. First off it is an optimistic thing, it offers a real promise of abundance in many things humans want, almost all the things, and the things the economy runs on. Want an expert grade image that matches your vision or gives you ideas, want to listen to a new song? A Movie or TV show, do you want to have a coach, a digital friend? Do you want something to help out with chores around the house? Want to analyze lots of information? Summarize it? Ask for idea, correlations? As these become smarter we will be able to trust the answers more and more. This is rather extraordinary and promising and that and Elon's Starship seem to be about the only optimistic things happening. Physics is sadly stalled (it's all due to physics being hostile to Aether and inlove with Relativity) people are being turned against each other, diseases are being released from labs on purposes to spread vaccines that were not well tested, there are constant attempts to ferment WW3 and demographically the countries that brought all these advances to the world are being overrun by illegals, woke politic stupidity anti-intellectual nonsense shoved harder than hydraulics of steroids down our throat. Klaus Schwab is telling us we will eat bugs own nothing and like it and Canada is saying "or else, and if you are depressed please kill yourself, actually let us help!". Socially the rate at which people are becoming couples and reproducing is so grim it's honestly going to be just a world of Muslims soon. So at the very least with AI fewer people can do more good stuff, want to make a compelling movie/Documentary on an important subject? It's going to become easier and the ability to grow positive visions of the future will become easier, positive and important messages that instill hope in humanity and unite us won't require an expensive studio to produce. We will have more power to reach people. But if nothing else it is a very welcome distraction from the general degeneration of society and the co-opting of power by manipulative psychopaths.

Why not! The printing press, the industrial revolution, electricity and the internet and more has lead to an increase in productivity and like the tide raised all boats. There is every probability that this can also be true for AI and Robots as long as it's not just controlled by the most powerful and toxic in society. The world has a lot of bad things going on, this and SpaceX is about the only signs for anything positive. And one of the many things that was likely to collapse society would be the populating collapsing but now with AI and robots holes can be filled even if population collapse and detrimental demographic shift is still a problem it might not be as catastrophic. @@curtispyketech
