Are you saying the medical is bad in the NWA area? I know the schools are highly rated. From what I have learned NWA is unlike the rest of Arkansas in so many ways. It’s hip, modern, beautiful, friendly and family oriented.

No…not at all. I was quoting statewide numbers according to multiple sources. NWA in my opinion has WONDERFUL healthcare options. And I would echo the description you provided about NWA. Thanks for watching

I love Arkansas❤️‍🩹 there Is no other place like it, that has felt like home. I moved in 2023 and miss it so much everyday. I want to move back bad but I fear my ex-husband would bother me if I did. if anyone is interested in moving. I can tell you that you wont regret it. Moving to Arkansas is one of the most beneficial choices and places you could ever choose. There are truly some of the greatest, genuine and caring individuals that you could meet and surround yourself with.

My friend, I don’t know your complete situation, but I do believe that large majority of our fears are never realized…we need to live life. I would hope that wouldn’t be the case if you choose to move back, but the absolute opposite that it was the best decision you ever made. Are there other parts of the state You could move to? Thanks for watching

One of the things I actually love about NWA is access to “city living” but the ability to be into rural/nature/open areas within just a short 15-20 minute drive. However it’s very true that there are large sections of Arkansas that when traveling across it may even be difficult to find a nice place to stop for food/gas/restrooms.

It’s nice to be able to disconnect when you want to, but I can imagine those who live out in the middle of nowhere. Feel a bit too disconnected. Thanks for watching.

I love NWA. We just moved back here from PA last year. We lived in PA for 8.5 years. And I was miserable. We live in a small, quiet friendly town. Just 8 miles from Fayetteville. It's beautiful. No, I don't like the heat or humidity. But, I stay in as much as possible. My family all live here. And it makes it worth it. There are a lot of tornadoes. But, there's going to be pretty much some natural occurrences, no matter where you live. And yes, I love it because it is in the Bible belt. There are a lot of conservative Christians. And therefore, the people are friendlier than those up north.

Ha, next year we're leaving Plano, TX for the Bentonville area. I've heard the only place to live in Arkansas is the northwest. We're not in poor health and lead very healthy lives, so the medical thing isn't as important to us. All our kids are grown, through college and married so education quality means nothing to us. The conservative politics is nothing we aren't used to in Texas. Most of the poverty is far south of us, we're not worried about it. The Bentonville area has yet to be discovered by the rest of the nation. 20 years ago we were looking at Asheville, NC but everyone has found it now. Acreage is now more than twice what it was in 2004. We just want to escape the increasingly brutal Texas summers. The summer of 2023 put us over the top, it's not getting any cooler. But, we didn't want to move to an extremely cold place either. We're happy with our choice. Being diehard Longhorn fans, we'll look forward to trolling all the Hogs fans!

FYI...been here for 4 years and have consistently seen -16 and -22 winter temps. RARELY had temps that low in CO. The natives tell me it's "not normal"! Right. Heat pumps are useless when the temp drops below 25, so you'll need another way to heat your home...

@@stevemank7032 OK, how long does it last?

I would agree in that heat pumps are extremely inefficient when it comes to lower temperatures. Many homes, at least up here in Northwest Arkansas, are also combined with either wood gas or electric heat producing fireplaces. That can help aid when a heat pump is lacking. Of course that’s not always the case. Thanks for your input

From my own personal experience, yes we might have days that drop that low into the negative temps but you’re talking maybe 5 to 10 days a year and maybe not strung in a row. Thx for watching

NW AR is an "affluence bubble". Hospitals and universities are clustered in the NW. In regard to education, Oklahoma is always at the bottom, so 43 for AR isn't as bad. Tornadoes? Get an inground shelter or safe room. As for politics, the south is red so poverty and the undereducated /uneducated tend to go hand in hand with red states.

I'm somehow missing your point. What does Oklahoma's educational ranking have to do with Arkansas? And apparently, poverty and lack of education just go with the territory in a red state, huh? Utah and Idaho would be surprised about that. No blue states containing large cities/population centers plagued by poverty and educational failures? Detroit anyone? How about Baltimore, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Chicago, Dayton, Cleveland, Los Angeles just to name a few! As Anthony so aptly pointed out, there is a big difference between poverty and homelessness!
