Hitachi Seaside Park is best known for the stunning blue nemophila flowers in spring (mid-April onwards) and bright red kochia bushes in autumn (October). There’s plenty to see year-round, including daffodils, tulips, sunflowers, and oil-seed rape blossoms, and it’s also home to a small amusement park and traditional Japanese farmhouses.
📍Location: Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki prefecture.
• It’s less than 2 hours by train from Tokyo, so it would be a nice day trip!
💴 Price: Entrance fee
• Adults (15 years old and over) ¥490
(Seasonal ¥700)
• Seniors (65 years old and over) ¥210
(Seasonal ¥460)
***Junior high school and younger students are admitted free of charge.
***Seasonal pricing is applicable for a period of 20 days in April/May and 10 days in October. The period of seasonal pricing is subject to the actual growth conditions of the plants. The exact dates will be posted on their official website at hitachikaihin.jp/en/
***Also, some establishments change their prices from time to time, so make sure to check their official website before visiting.

Should I try to get there when they open? I'm renting a car to drive there...I noticed with trains it looked like I could only get there by maybe 11 or noon if I took the earliest one. I'm going at the end of the month during "peak" bloom. I'm excited about it. Also, if I don't explore the ferris wheel and just do the flowers is 3 hours enough time to see everything?
