I once had a male companion who invited me to share an afternoon with him. We made a stop to a small neighborhood shopping mall with a sizable parking lot. He stopped the car, exited and extracted the empty but crumb filled container of a coffee cake box and dumped it on the parking lot. My opinion of him plummeted. What a slob! Did he ever have any home training.

I also think that a classy woman does not gossip. We all talk about people sometimes but I don't like it when it is mean spirited. Oh that gets me. Or someone who is 2 faced because if they are talking about a mutual friend I guarantee you they are talking about me.

We truly need to bring back "CHARM" Schools. Often people do things because they really don't know. As an older woman, I see younger people doing and saying things because 1. They don't know. 2. No one has ever taught them any better. 3. No one has explained etiquette, manners, and the purpose of them in the world today.

@@TheKimroyBailey Yes you're right, tipping is not in my culture. However when you live on a place where tipping is the culture it could be nice to kindly adopt the culture. I was not taught to tip. I come from a frugal family and we rarely had dinners out. My mother provided all services in house with the exception of medical care. However, I appreciate the spirit of people who cook, serve, clean and provide personal services with care and attentiveness so much that I overtip. I don’t miss the money and I’m happy to do it. Another one to add, is treat frontdesk/support staff especially at businesses when you go for interviews, with care. The owner of a company I worked for would check in with me after candidates left to see how they treated or interacted with me when they 1st arrived. In fact she sat at my desk on occasion when candidates would arrive & then popped into the interview. Sometimes I was a part of the interview panel, since I was the office manager.

I have mixed feelings about timeliness. For time sensitive events like movies, concerts, plane or train trips, the chronically tardy amazingly find a away to be picked up by the designated driver in the friend group. They have known for weeks or months about the planned event but are always late. I find my own way to the point of embarkation that way I avoid arguments and missed engagements. After enough times of being left behind to fend for themselves, the offender finds a way to be on time. For other events, such as house parties, the hostess never starts on time. I usually arrive about 15 minutes late and still find that I’m the first to arrive. In more than 50 years of going to weddings, I have never been to one that started on time.

Great tips!! I've written people off for being rude and/or belittling to service staff!! It's triggering for me as well. And NOT tipping in countries/regions were people really NEED that extra demonstration of appreciation for service is NOT CLASSY either!!

My goodness, have you all ever been out with a friend and they start being rude to the waiter/waitress??? It has happened and it is friends that I love dearly and it shocks me. I pay attention to that and that is a mess to me. It really makes me question them. Like do I really know this friend? I strive hard to treat everyone kind and with respect. We are not above anyone. Manners are the best ever. I love this channel. Hello to all the classy ladies on here!!!! Thank you Angela Mashelle!!!

I agree with all of these. I think I have a tendency to be too loud when I get excited at social events. My voice carries I’m a teacher and it serves me well in the classroom. But I am aging now and I’m realizing that this is a bad habit that I need to break

I really like that you can laugh at yourself when you make a mistake on camera! It shows that you are human, you are not perfect, and that you are comfortable with yourself! I enjoy your channel and very much like the interaction between you and your husband. My pet peeve also is seeing someone treat waiters, waitresses, hotel or service personnel with disrespect. It makes me so angry. I believe that you should always treat people the way you want to be treated. Everything you said in this video was on point and I agree with you that women over 40 definitely should not be doing these things. Be blessed Ms. Angela.

Add to that when with a group of girlfriends out to eat at a restaurant ,a classy lady will assist on paying the check with others. There are some ladies that will itemize or ask for a separate check. If you don't have it at the time either don't go or budget for next time. Also include the tip as well. Some women just pay for what they had and that's it lol. No tip or anything.

#2 On Point! I had a friend and her husband used to love “grading” the Servers at restaurants and how they treated us. They would always find something bad that they did or said to NOT Tip them OR to Insult The Tip. If the steak wasn’t cooke right they would attempt to blame the server or comp the meal it would make me so hot and mad! I would always end up over tipping for Our Tables Bad Service to The Staff! I hated it because then that’s also a type of insult. We are not friends anymore

Thanks for making this video. You would think these things would be obvious, but they aren’t… especially among the younger generation growing up on reality shows were dysfunctional families disrespect they mothers and each other. You always look classy but you make a very good point that if you act ugly, no styling tips can make you look good.

Yesssss to all! Concerning the profanity one - social media has made a study known regarding how the use of profane language signals intelligence. I really hate that because it seems people really think it's cool to be verbally vulgar. Personally, when I use profanity I feel dumb as a rock and when I hear it I get tensed because I feel things may get physical and I don't do violence.
