Have you test driven the Audi Q4 Etron? Just wondered why you didn't even consider it

@@toolrulz8005 When I tried the other cars, the Q4 was not out in Norway so I could not make a comparison. If it had been, I would for sure test it. I have since had the possibility to go for a ride in it, and based on the quality feel and looks, it is by far the one I would have chosen of the cars from the VAG group. But since I have to pay for the car myself, it is priced outside my range. The P2, with extras was 520.000 NOK (60.000 $). The ID4 with extras came to 600.000 NOK (69.500 $) and the Enyaq at 620.000 NOK (72.000 $). I was surprised that a Skoda is more expensive than a VW. And if I was going with the Enyaq, I would really like to try the RS version first, coming in 2022(?). The Q4 with extras ended much higher, closer to 700.000 NOK (81.000 $), a hefty 180.000 NOK more than the P2. But if money was free, I would most likely go with the Q4.

I have actually updated the design of the cup holder now, so it is larger and has a mechanism that makes it grip variable size cups and bottles equally well.

There's currently no other option than to purchase the files and have them 3D printed yourself (by a friend or a local makerspace or even a site that offers this service, like Craftcloud). I do realize that many people would like to buy it ready-made, though. I have also improved the design a lot, compared to the one I sent to Kris (which you can see in this video).

@@Debrha Well, yes it do cost both in development and because every implemented feature has a risk of failure and then they have to pay to fix it for you. Having media on USB is such an old sollution many people abandoned it ten years ago when smart phones came. Most people must have abandoned it today. Just put your media on your phone and play via bluetooth, if you don't stream.

You don't have the same functionality when using Bluetooth. You have to pick up your phone to select the music you want to hear. The sound quality could also be affected.

it is really a big miss. a i understand that M3/tesla can do it, and i´m doing it for 10 years now. no i did not dropped is because the integration with my v50 (2 cars) en V60 (current car) is so nice, don't want to play with Bluetooth while driving. just plugged in a small 32GB usb stick en your gone for the rest of the cars life cycle. delivery

After the lastest (OTA)-updates the charging is faster for a longer time and also it is much less thirsty. :-)

@@abrahamgillesdejager6852 But still thirsty. The consumption in winter (below 0 C) is wild - about 30 kwh/100 km. And it may vary alot among similar cars - why I really don't know, but it seems that there is som kind of issue with this. The two electrical motors are similiar - thats a bad design move when it comes to EV's. Look at Tesla and VW - they both use different motors in front and rear. Polestar has a lot going for it, but they should redesign the drive train.

A Toyota Yaris uses less energy than a BMW M3. That doesn’t mean it’s a better car. 😉 Seriously, the Polestar 2 has about the same range as the Ampera-e (actually better according to WLTP and NAF winter test) and it charges WAY faster (up to 3x). It also does everything else better. Sorry. 😬 The 2022 model on sale now gets a heat pump BTW.. I’d choose the Polestar 2 over any of the cars you list here, if it wasn’t for the luggage space.. My choice would therefore have to be the ID.4 GTX with Topsport interior or the Q4 50 quattro Editon One. EDIT: But then again, both of these cost more than a fully loaded Polestar 2. And they are still not as fast and they don’t have as good infotainment system.

@@omelvold Well iam talking about EV’s not sure what ice has to do with anything here.🤷‍♂️ Funny you only said wintertest and not summer, cause the AE drove alot longer then the polestar in summer. And Even with a mutch smaller battery😉 2021 model has heatpump, it got it this spring. All iam saying is that the polestar is not a very good EV, not on that platform. You can drive a lot cheaper then in the polestar. Consumption is too high compared too other cars in the price range. It didnt Even Get WLTP i 2021 summer test 😂 Think it was the only car🙈 Ampera got 89 km over WLTP 😀😜

That’s my point.☝️Regarding the NAF (Norwegian Automobile Association) summer range test; The reason the Polestar 2 missed it’s WLTP by a whopping 3 kms (1.86 mi), was that it ran out of battery _right_ before the massive descent from the mountain pass, at Venabygdsfjellet. The Ampera-e, ID.4, ENYAQ and IONIC 5 stopped at 600 meters (1800 ft) lower elevation. Another 3% of battery would have brought the Polestar 2 another 33 kms. To 500 kms (311 mi), well above its WLTP of 470 kms (292 mi). This is the route the others drove, from where the Polestar 2 stopped: abetterrouteplanner.com?plan_uuid=7dfe6a68-6d9f-444a-b897-2762361cca97 NAF writes in the summary that this is a weakness with their test. Finally, the Polestar is yet to be delivered with a heat pump AFAIK. However, you’ve been able to _order_ it for a few months.

The “great car, not a great EV” is one of the most used memes in internet echo chambers, BTW.. 😏 With any EV, or ICE car for that matter, it’s always a trade off between efficiency and other properties. Because it’s all about physics. Don’t be fooled. The perfect EV doesn’t exist. There will always be an EV with either more space or practicality, better off road capabilities, faster accelleration, longer range, better track performance, better comfort, less cabin noise, lower price, more equipment etc. And then comes looks, perceived quality, heritage and feelings.. 🙂 These are the areas where most “great EVs” fall short. Luckily people have different needs and preferences. But there’s no need to be over exaggerating the “shortcomings” of the Polestar 2 and certain other “thirsty” EV’s. My experience is that they more than make up for it in other areas.
