I got some tactics like going for walks instead of using my smartphone not using it in bed, while eating(dopamine), in the bathroom getting sensible for that hole/that hurtness inside of you-so when it comes up i can react fast-dropping all internet devices, getting some fresh air, instead of letting stuff happen to me TAKE ACTION do you want to get free? Why, whats good and whats bad about it, men dont act upon feelings but their thrive for right-write a pro contro list and DECIDE, if you dont make it today dont condemn yourself, every second that passes is one you get closer reaching your GOAL - i love you all

Don't fall in to the trap of being judged to be right or wrong by others for things you enjoy doing.... You only need to listen to yourself.... It seems in today's society everyone is living by rules set by others.... In reality, those that judge you, seek to influence you for their own benefit.

Ankur Srivastava A woman can also be a very good friend, always on your side, depending on who you choose as a partner. Someone with whom to share happy times and to struggle together during difficult times. As a man you must be aware of the many factors that come into play when choosing a partner. Women can give you sex and children, but they can be much more than that.

As you said, some of these things aren't bad within themselves but as you also mentioned, ask is there a benefit in my life that I could see by not doing some of these things? #1 is a difficult nut to crack because it is often caused by Personality Disorders and even past emotional traumas. I am of the mind from my own struggles with this issue in the past that it significantly tied to dopamine deficiency, meaning depression. The problem is very likely an organic one at the brain level. I recently had a lengthy conversation online about this issue with a female friend. Another friend of hers insisted it was about education. That is just not true. It is not an intellectual struggle. It is an emotional one based upon multiple issues sometimes. I am very glad you brought up the issue of the women that men chose. I have been harping on this with guys for some time. Men often choose women with whom they are completely incompatible on many levels then marry them. Not a smart choice. Men need to take responsibility to be more conscious of their marital and relationship choices. I have been married for 26 years because I chose a woman with whom I was highly compatible in terms of intellect, education level, religious beliefs, and social class. It takes time and as the old saying goes there are too many fish in the sea to be sold on the first one or even the fifth one. You need to find the right one specifically for you.

A lot of this is good advice. Stoicism ultimately wins out in a virtuous society. Your opinion on mortgages and debt is a bit rudimentary though. It makes sense to borrow money if you're borrowing at a lower rate than you could gain on that money by putting it into an investment. That's "good debt". While it's TRUE you shouldn't go overboard and buy a house outside your means, borrowing that remaining 80% upfront isnt a bad financial decision, it's an effective one.
@wayfarerzen3393

About debt, it's only bad if you incur debt without BOTH the means to pay it back AND if the debt does not lead to benefit to your life. Consumer debt bad, mortgage is ai'ight.

I used to consume pornography along with drugs (weed lsd) on a daily basis , then I got psychosis and developed morbid retroactive jealousy. I would sit in a empty room and obsessively think about my gf at that time cheating on me (while she was not )for hours . Then I had to break up with her because of my delusions. Now I'm on CBT and the therapist told me that it was because of the suggestive porn that I was watching and the psychedelics were creating acute psychosis precipitating and worsening my delusions. Porn actually destroyed my sanity and my relationship with women . I am lucky that I got help at right time.

Part of what makes you a adult or her thinking conscious human being is the ability to discern the ability to separate the ability to distinguish. For example a gynecologist have to separate his work from his life as does many doctors lawyers paramedics and people who work in traumatic Fields employment. Your Perspective perception has to be based on the specific for unique situation you find yourself in and does not apply to all things all the time. People tend to have a problem with that Tend To Be problem people.

Have to basically agree with your thesis; though I'm less pro-marriage than you are. And yes, unless you're sick and cannot do anything about it -- It is NOT OK for a man to be fat, not even a beer belly. Be a good animal, and you're half way to being a good man. Hard drugs and alcohol have killed people I cared about. Alcohol and emotional drama ruined most of my childhood until I went to live with my sober and hard working father. My world changed radically -- and soon I was changed for the better. Boys need fathers. Once a baby is weened, mothers are optional, fathers are indispensable.

The divorce thing. Its also important not to hold on too long either and let unacceptable behaviour exist. I tried a little too hard to save my marriage and it resulted in more financial devastation and damage overall. You have to also know when enough is enough, cut your losses and stop the bleeding. Totally agree, man! I won't even have lunch with a co-worker if the co-worker is a woman. If it's a group of people, I'll go but if it's just me and the woman - can't do it. Doesn't matter if she's attractive or not - that's not the point. The point is perception and possibility. Someone (or even the coworker) may have the wrong perception. There is also the possibility that if the coworker ever got upset with me about something, all it takes is for her to say something and I'm done....even though I'd never do a thing to jeopardize my marriage. Now, I certainly don't think women are that nefarious but I'd rather caution on the safe side! PS: I have the same Jiu-Jitsu book brother - 45 years old - 3 stripe blue belt! Keep up the great work.

Legal marriage is a trap to avoid. Marital property laws give women power over men that are unprecedented according to the law of nature. A man can control himself but that control becomes hard to exercise when your partner doesn’t control herself. If marriage is a must consider a religious ceremony without state involvement (caution: get to know your state law on common law relationships); use a prenuptial agreement and renew it periodically. In short your marriage partner, armed with the power of law, can drive you to financial ruin, into debt, into emotional ruin and into drugs and alcoholic. Your marriage partner can deny you sex sending you to look elsewhere on the internet or at the bar. You can work hard at staying fit but with the security of that marriage license your marriage partner can allow herself to become a slob without risk - she gets at least half if you leave. In short, bringing the state into your life with a marriage license is a really bad idea unless she is super rich and I mean super rich because then you enjoy a little bit of the power of the state. But the chances of that kind of a sweet deal? Slim to none.

An unrelated question to this video, but do you believe in the "man cave" within a home or should there be more or less a study/quiet place where anyone in the home can essentially get away and know that there's a dedicated room for getting some quiet time?
@mt8149
@mt8149 4 жыл бұрын
The entire house is a "man's castle," and since he is the head of the household the entire house should be available for quiet time. It's probably different for everyone, but to me, "man cave" sounds like men are unsophisticated Neanderthals being sanctioned to a small room in the house/garage away from his family and the rest of the house belongs to the sophisticated woman.

@@mt8149 yeah idk if i can get behind the notion of the castle belonging only to the man. Yes he is the head of the household but there are plenty of times when it is just not feasible for the house to be absolutely quiet, especially just because he is "the man of the house", quite frankly if the Queen wants to make your life hell then she just has to make some noise. Idk if thats the type of house youre talking about but there definitely needs to be a space and especially time when family or individuals can get away from the noise of the house. Since about 2004 ive lived with tinnitus, so i dont exactly have the opportunity for "quiet", however we do have a dedicated office space for homeschool as well as my own schooling and when we need our quiet time thats where we go to get it. Saying that a man must demand quiet in his house to me seems a bit chauvinistic. Neanderthal is also a terrible comparison because neanderthals roamed vast areas of land, if they wanted quiet they would just go hunting. So yeah, seems to me you might just have a bit of a powertrip as the "man of the house."

Yes when I was married and my man wasn't home I don't care if it's his best friend he's not coming in the house . And never ever date a woman that's pregnant or has children . There's nothing worse than getting attached n having all those good memories n having to leave all that behind. Or worse being a negative and possibly loosing it n wake up in prison.

Right.... I don't understand where these people come from who justify the feeling that is momentarily but ignore the long-term effects.

All this shit like tobacco is a cash cow so they will never get rid of it. Oh they can go on and on about how bad it is though. If it's so bad get rid of it?!? No, now they have to legalize weed, because it's a cash cow.

Every sane thinking person acknowledged the governments right to regulate or outright ban pornography until about 1970, about then is when attitudes changed, a permissiveness took hold fueled by leftists and liberalism, allied to profit seeking capitalism....and that is when people began to say that "its not the governments job." ....

For lack of a better term her being bossy. It will not improve with marriage. We've all seen man woman relationships and thought to ourselves well I know who wears the pants in that relationship. Problems really come in when both try to wear the pants, that's when all the arrangements start.

For the most part I agree with your perspective. I think your video should be titled 7 traps to avoid so you can be the best man you can be. The being said as a divorced guy I fall into the (women are crazy & you shouldn't ever get married with the divorce laws the way they are) group of men. Avoid narcissistic women which unfortunately seems to be a large number of them.

I agree with you across the board. The one point I want to highlight is infidelity in marriage. I know a feminist who thinks infidelity should be ok. It's become more and more normal in western society. A man can be disciple and account for his actions. How do you balance a woman to be faithful in a society that promotes promiscuity?

Where or better WHY do you draw a line between alcohol and pornography? When people need alcohol to relax or to feel socially comfortable there is already a REALLY thick parallel line. Why crossing out one out and the other one not. Especially - as some other commentator mentioned - alcohol is most of the time the rabbit that pulls you Donne that hole with force.

why not just join a monastery and become a monk too? Why not just accept who you are. Like say: I am what I am. All these changes that people try, never last, never work, make life boring and no fun. I've been through all that. I've come to realize life is filled with joy and woe. I just think life is meant to be enjoyed. Trust me, you'll never remember a day at the office one your death bed. But you might remember one amazing night with a tall blonde or something like that right. Or drinking with your buddies. I mean the whole monk thing, and oddly enough I did that too one time, for 2 years. It's not human.

porn is a complicated subject I agree and disagree with you at the same time. -- I agree Alcohol and drug abuse is bad. -- I agree on gambling being bad. -- I agree with infidelity what about guys who get cheated on all the time? -- I agree with debts. -- I agree with the divorce. -- I work out all the time so no body fat for me lol

I agree that porn does skew men view of women and changes how you interact with your partner. I don’t like it never have but my husband don’t feel the same way I do.

Professional poker player here... please, let me clarify: poker is not gambling, poker could be gambling if you are horrible. roulete and slot machines are gambling, poker is a close relative to chess.

I don't know maybe he's talking about the dead eyes pulling the slots. You've seen the zone they get into? I considered it one of my great accomplishments when I could walk past the table games w/o spending a dollar. Or not even spending a dollar out of curiosity. Otherwise, only a small percent of the population understands (really understands) poker. Which is good and bad.
