@@mr.h3lmsl3y Infinitely more. Take a look at the stats - they don't lie. Except for injury, Hartenstein has never started in his career. He's bounced around to 5 teams already. Might be a reason for that. I live in OK, love the Thunder, like Hartenstein, and think he's going to be fine, but $29M/yr is a massive overpay. He's banking on his recent success with the Knicks, which isn't necessarily representative of his career. Val is a proven commodity.

Wizards wanna try Sarr at pf, i dont agree with it, but it makes sense as far as WHY they did it, plus, 3 year 30 mil is an actual steal for him, and a very good piece to trade eventually for more assets. Kind of like Wemby at pf, but on a way lesser scale.

One of my all-time favorite stats is that Tobias Harris never took a charge in his years with Philly.
@pinobluevogel6458Ай бұрын
Just the first two signings aren't that weird to be honest. Mo Bamba probably isn't moving the needle much on any team, but for the Clippers, that just need guys, so it kinda makes sense. He gives them some size and if it is going to work anywhere it is next to Harden who can hit him with lobs and open threepointers. It is probably not going to work out well, but they didn't pay much for this project signing. The signing of JV makes sense as well, he wasn't a great fit with the pace and space offense that the Pelicans wanted to run, but at Washington, he can be a mentor for Sarr and with how good Valanciunas is, his contract is quite tradable for a team that really needs a consistant offensive center that has a ton of strength in the post and good midrange shooting.

Lol! Tim Hardaway can at least get hot and get a lot of points. With the right coach, he should score some points especially with Cade Cunningham who gives good assists. I have no idea what that team is doing with Tobias Harris though. Then again they needed an extra guy to catch the ball I guess. Detroit needs new management. Instead of Tobias Harris, they could have signed or traded for: Precious Achiwua, Kyle Kuzma, Miles Bridges, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, DeAndre Ayton, Walker Kessler, Darius Garland, Cam Thomas, Deuce McBride, Jericho Sims & Caris LeVert. They have 2 good players. When are they going to start building a team?

For me signing Tobias is not that terrible move from Pistons. In regular season he is solid player, will average around 17-20 ppg and will bring several more wins to them, and they needed to spend money on someone. We all know Tobias is too pasive and he is not a leader, so Pistons need to sign veteran who has that. Combined with improvement of other young players, Pistons might become between 30 win team to play-in team range soon if they sign solid veteran. Pistons fans would be happy after years of suffering if they would be able to fight for play-in, their team would be at least somewhat interesting. For me, headscratching move was signing Tim Hardaway jr. He is absolutely useless if his shots aren't falling, which is often the case.

Exactly, when a guy averages 17 a game as a 3rd option on a playoff team he's worth more than 26 especially when you're only committing 2 years. Cade and Ivey need space....it's not rocket science

Porter jr can't survive in a large market area, he needs to be in a small market where there is nothing to do so he can be kept in the house away from the public eye. Valanciunas was done completely wrong because he has.a solid mid range game and can hit 3s but the Pelicans wanted him to focus on offensive rebounds and not going away from the paint for 3s. 10 million per is robbery for him but i gotta say for the player they got with that contract I would say Washington has one of the best free agent signings this year. He should have went to Orlando or Golden State.

Jonas Valanciunas should have went to the Heat, the Knicks or the Lakers. I have no idea what he thinks is going to happen in Washington unless their coach does a miracle & turns Kyle Kuzma and / or Jordan Poole into all stars. Washington should have traded one of those guys. I have no idea what the Wizards or Utah are doing.
@RedSteele80002 күн бұрын
Well...Kevin Porter Jr. was a good signing by the Clippers. Why? Though he acted up on his previous team, he was likely told by his agent that if he didn't shape up he wouldn't get many more chances. Also Ty Lue is known as a players' coach. So maybe he can get him to settle down. In addition, players can mature when placed with more mature veterans, switch environments, have better players around them, are appreciated more, are taken out of environments that are bad for them, move away from bad influences, realize that they're running out of options, get a better coach, are given a mentor, etc. Remember the Knicks took Latrell Sprewell after he choked his own coach? Yet he never did anything like that again. Same goes for Rasheed Wallace & Zach Randolph. Players can mature over time. I think that was a good signing for the Clippers. But I don't get why they didn't go after other guys as well such as: Collin Sexton, Keldon Johnson, Caris LeVert, Tyus Jones, DeAndre Ayton, Anfernee Simons, Jericho Sims, Tyler Herro, Obi Toppin, Wendell Carter, Jaden Ivey, Luke Kennard, Precious Achiwua & Marcus Smart. What the Clippers need to realize is that James Harden works best with 3 point shooters, athletic players, fast players & guys who can finish well at the rim. Kawhi Leonard can work well with anyone though. So they should have surrounded those 2 guys with those types of players. They could also speed up the pace & use Kevin Porter Jr. as a guard who gets to the rim fast. I have no idea why they signed Mo Bamba though.
@jeffreymerlino4613Ай бұрын
I actually think the Clippers have had a great offseason, Paul George was not worth the money he wanted and we added a lot of guys with potential to be good for not that much money. i really like the porter jr signing, mo bamba, kris dunn, batum will definitely be in the rotation, and jones jr. was actually the guy i was specifically hoping they would sign. i think the clippers could easily be a low end playoff team next year and be somewhat competitive
