I owned a 2004 and 2011 Ranger and currently own a 2020 Ranger. The 'O4 and '11 were two of the most reliable vehicles I ever owned, requiring only oil changes and new tires during the years I owned them. Thus far, my '20 has proven equally reliable. Of course, I don't treat my trucks as brutally as many Ranger owners have been known to, so that may have something to do with it.
@hughmongous66133 жыл бұрын
Same here. I've owned two of them, the current one is a '94 Ranger with about 270,000 miles no rebuild and still runs great. Only maintenance is oil changes and tires. Not even spark plugs..... yes I kinda abuse it and it still keeps going. 😃👍

So the most deadly issue with the Tundra is that the interior is "Dull"! I can live with that :)
@Duraputer3 жыл бұрын
No, tundra is very deadly, the dull interior can lead to explosions if you reroute the fuel line through the interior then accidentally kick it apart with your foot then accidentally set the exposed fuel on fire with an unfinished cigarette bud. exploding all the vehicle occupants. The tundra can also explode if you drive it off a cliff at 120mph, exploding all the occupants. See tundra is deadly.

5:00 - It should be noted that the new Ford Ranger and the previous generation Ranger are 100% different vehicles. The old Ranger ended production in 2011, while a different pickup that carried the Ranger name was sold outside the US. The new Ranger is an updated version of that internationally sold one. It's too new to make a decision on its merits, yet. But by 2023/24, we (the buying public) should have some well fleshed-out performance and reliability data to go off of.

The Honda was a surprise i have to admit, but what was missing from this list was the 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The main problem with the 3 valve Engine is to small a oil drain holes in the heads doesn’t let the cam phasers get enough oil under high RPM
@kingdaniel35193 жыл бұрын
@@jerryd6401 I don't know where you came up with that because it isn't remotely correct. As I stated, the problem is the oil pump.

Worked on many of them on the three Val the old retired generals are too small If you don’t change the oil every 4000 miles it clogs up and restrict the hose do your homework

Well that saves my problem to buy a new truck. I'LL keep my 2001 Dodge Dakota R/T with 319.000 miles on the original engine wich runs like new . The way i see it, old is better then new.

Lol... you did mention the Honda Ridgeline but not the year? for failures?..but the customers reviews said something different than you said, also is one of the most safest trucks out there.

I find it hilarious that all these truck problems are from high speeds...if You treat Your truck like a sane person would there shouldn’t be any problem...agreed...it’s most defiantly stupid drivers You don’t want on the road anyway.

My dad got a brand new 85 Chevy Silverado and I bet we put a billion miles on that truck.I would love it if these car companies would stop using us test subjects and give is a real depandable Ride.And we all no they can but wont because they cant stay in business with depandable parts.

They want to stuff them full of tech to satisfy the trendy crowds. The only benefit I see from modern tech is the engine management systems. Most of that is to meet federal standards.

@@weirdshibainu Yes, the Merc X class is a Nissan Navara that got "re-badged", they were sold in south Africa as well (only in diesel)and the x250 model was a 2.3 litre DCI (technically speaking a Renault motor) that is the standard Navara diesel motor today in South Africa. Then the top of the line is the x350D that is a 3 litre DCI (that is the same as the 3 litre DCI Navara that has been discontinued in South Africa).
