Too true. She surely won the "best parents" award when she was born! I would have loved for Kelly to have both parents there, father, pilot, and mom, oh my God, also a pilot. I will see if I can research and find out about them as they are a class act raising a seven year who is so wise and mature way beyond her seven years.

Geeze at 7 I was still eating Dirt and fighting over Hotwheels lol This young Girl already has a vision and a goal. Growing up in the 70's I see how different today's kids have it with the support and opurtunities we just didn't have or more realistically, know about. With the right support and access to material this Girl WILL be a commander 1 day. Good luck in all you do Amelia!

( hope I got the spelling of your last name right) I was in the Air Force myself, and I think it's in good, great, hands and will continue to be with ambitious future aviators like this 7yr. old girl. Aim High, keep working hard and go after your dreams.

She has a long way to go to even be a potential fighter pilot. From her grades to her health, many things can stop her goal from happening. Michele never had that goal from a child. And many who have had it and never got to do it can be a life crushing event. Michele was an overachiever and a perfectionist in her ways as a child. Amelia will be told by her parents of the absolute importance of her grades as she ages in regard to being given a chance to be a fighter pilot.

Thunderbird I at 20 isn't happening either. Pilots are officers, and you must have a bachelor's degree to be commissioned. You also have to have a serious number of hours in your flight log to be a Thunderbird.

You may have a calling. My brother served in the Air Force for twenty-four years. He trained Pilots to use their safety equipment. I don't know the current stats,but in the 1970s, for every Pilot, there were twenty-five people on the ground in a support role.

The first step is getting up off the couch.
@claytonwhitman1608
@claytonwhitman1608 3 жыл бұрын
Jasmin Belle Tendilla As one poster has already said, the first step is getting off of the couch. At 7, I knew I wanted to go to West Point, graduate, and get into Special Forces, and I shocked the crap out of my mother when I told her this one day, and that I knew that the job was very dangerous and I might not live to see 30 years old. She cried, for a bunch of reasons. The point is, to find something that really engages you, really get your blood moving and fills your heart and imagination. Even a bad day at work will be still a great day doing what you love. Loving your l]self, your life, your career is waay more important than how much you make. I am now a Certified Welding Inspector, and it took me a long time to get here, and working on the pipeline. Welding is a job that is all skill and experience, and women learn faster than men on average, because they don’t have testosterone issues lols. They learn to do things with skill and technique, whereas men tend to learn to do things by brute force. Just an example. How great a welder you are is determined by drive, and then talent. I’ve seen the truly gifted welders sit on their laurels and never progress, and those with drive become the top welders. As far as not knowing what you want to do, don’t worry. Look at what lights you up, what interests you, what is out there that makes you want to question more and more. And, while it is not for everyone, if you have good health and everything, maybe the service isn’t a bad idea, to help you gain knowledge, wisdom, experience, a job, save $$$, earn and education and college tuition assistance, and maybe, just maybe, you may find your true calling along the way. Maybe it’s a job in the military, or with a defense contractor or a PMC, or maybe a different field in the government somewhere? Maybe it will expose you to different countries and cultures and you find something that really speaks to you. I spent 10 wonderful years in the Army, and while I never finished my 20+ I dreamed of, I have never regretted my service to this great nation, the invaluable experiences it gave me, and the absolute heroic co-workers I found. Such a huge family, some I love to hate and others I hate to love - just kidding, there is always inter service rivalries, but we all have a place and a job to do. Maybe the military is not your cup of tea, and that is 1000% OK. It is not the place for everyone. Maybe the Peace Corp? Or volunteering at a local hospital or veterinary clinic? Habitat for Humanity? There are literally thousands of places and organizations to volunteer with, some may even help you find employment, or expose you to potential employers or networking connections. If I am reading your name correctly, if that is indeed a Spanish or Portuguese family name, then if you speak 2 languages or more already, translators are always in demand, especially if you speak more than 2 languages, or if you speak ones in high demand for business, trade, government work, etc. You may have skills or talents you don’t even know of yet. The key, is to get off the couch, and start looking. Not an easy thing to do, and very open and general. But look at medical fields. Computer software and hardware. Building, construction, engineering, architecture. Social work. Automotive engineering, mechanical repair, auto body repair. Radio, tv, podcasting. Advertising, promoting, sales. Health and beauty. Maybe you want to be a personal trainer? Acting, modeling, stunt person. Science and research of about a million different things. The list is really endless. Start with this, and go through it and do some internet searches for what careers are short staffed. And see if something stands out. And, if the military or Coast Guard has it, then maybe that’s a way to get schooling and trying and experience and a paycheck all in one. Or, maybe it’s a way to earn the college assistance you will need for college or a good trade school. I wish you the best of luck, I pray you find your calling and you have the most success in life!!)))))

At least you’re not 44 working a job you don’t really want to do but you’ve been doing it for the last 23 years so you’re good at it and the money is good but you still wish you could’ve chosen a different career path but you feel like it’s too late and you’re too old so you’re hoping you win the lottery.
