Yeah... I'm a drummer, and my parents never supported my desire to play. They always wanted me to play classical piano, but I went off on my own path, learned some Journey, and then I got introduced to the world of drumming

It will all be fun and games until he gets tinnitus. I saw him on a BBC program about childhood, "The Human Body", and noticed that he didn't use ear protection, which was confirmed in this KZfaq video. The amount of beating his inner ears will take from starting drumming at such a young age will certainly damage his hearing and likely cause tinnitus later in life. It was disturbing to see the adults around him , parents and music teachers, seemingly completely ignorant about this. Tinnitus can potentially be a hellish experience and a huge amount of people suffer from it. Someone needs to tell this kid to protect his ears!

His parents couldn’t have picked a better name. He’s not just a drummer. He also plays guitar and bass. Crazy how at 13 he’s producing music. I can definitely see him playing in an outdoor NFL stadium in front of 50,000 plus people.

I love this kid he reminded me of me bc i started drumming at 3 heard first metal band and the band was called slipknot my favorite band still td and i grow up to be a drummer to be a headbanger I am a drummer a metal drummer and this kid is cool I wish I could meet him bc he reminds me of me I'm 14 now and I have a big drum set and just wished somone like him could live near me. I ever get yelled at in school for tapping bc I just can't stop headbanging and taping

Recker is a born star. It's nice to see a young kid rock so much. I'm in MTV kid, grew up on Motley Crew, Guns & Roses, 80's Aerosmith etc. and I like to rock. I think this is great, he obviously has a passion and has put a lot of time and energy in to this. My only concern is that hearing loss is permanent and irreversible and it doesn't look like he is using hearing protection while playing. If Recker wants to have a long, happy career he should invest in some high quality ear protection.
