Really appreciate your videos - I had to replace a windshield and have to do the tint again. Was debating going darker - but these videos reminded me that 70% is perfect. Helps like crazy during roadtrips!

Thanks for this! I bought the front tint after your videos and I love it.

Never been stopped for tint in Phoenix anywhere. I run 70% up front and 20% on sides. Now lived in Reno 2+ years with the same car and no problems over here either!

70% ceramic- in my windshield,, day time its perfect helps alot but driving at night for some reason i get this extra light from any light on-reflecting back, not sure if this is normal, i don’t used glasses or anything like that. not sure why i don’t get that on my side windows with 20% ceramic

50% is a bit better it reduces glare a bit more. You really can't tell its there.

TN allows 70%. I keep bouncing between 50-70%. Thanks for the video!

Not on the windshield.

50 percent Isa sweet spot. I have 50 and you can barely tell. But it's good enough that the glare is less with 50 percent. Night time driving is not at all hindered

@@john091077 No more than 70% on windshield, and any tint at and above AS-1 line. ( 35% all around Car or SUV)

I went with 60. Sure daytime driving I wish it was 50 but at night with my mid 50s age eyes I would not want it any darker than at 60 percent.

Thanks for the video! I am thinking about doing 70% up front. I am also in Phoenix, AZ and my goal is to reduce the heat coming through the windshield. Do you know if 70% ceramic will interfere with the HUD? I also have the cameras for the self-driving as well which I am not sure if they will be impacted or not. I also use a radar detector.
@nigward.10182 жыл бұрын
They shouldn't be affected
@WhatNowTech2 жыл бұрын
HUD and cameras are not affected. Rain/Light sensors are not affected either. If you go for ceramic tint, your radar detector shouldn't be affected either.
@hquwx6027 Жыл бұрын
Ceramic tints and nano ceramic have no interference with electronics they have no metals.

Moved away from Phoenix to Reno last year. Always had 70% ceramic on windshield and 20% on side. Never had issues at night and even father agreed he can see at night as well while visiting.

For those with astigmatism, how does it effect you? Im curious if it will help or hurt my night driving ability

Only helps with oncoming headlights… Sucks in the dark
@MrBlahblahblee9 ай бұрын
@@dannyayala9838 If you get ceramic tint your visibility will be practically unchanged. I have astigmatism and I used to have 35% ceramic and it was fine. But I would only recommend either 70% or 50% to be the darkest on the windshield. MUST BE CERAMIC.

More like driving 68 in a 65 zone. I cant definitely tell the difference between no tint and 70%. The glass without tint is somewhere around 75-85% depending… Also it depends where at night you are driving.l. There's a difference between urban street, city highway (your video). And country roads . Try at night on some country or farmer road.. at night and with the fog and rain.. even a with a clear windshield you can't see crap. Reducing by 10% will not help. For day time.. no problem.. but for the night.. clear is always better.. there are tinting films for people with skin condition.. those film are rated 80-90% they cost about the same price as premium ceramic tint.

Question, while driving at night do you experience an halo effect from on coming headlights? With my 75% I noticed a band of extra light on the top and bottom of on coming headlights and tail lights. Just wondering if this is normal for ceramic tints?
@RobertSchmitt2 жыл бұрын
Interesting! Do you have ceramic tint? This has not happened with my car at 70%. The only visual issues has been wearing polarized sunglasses during day.
@carflo21122 жыл бұрын
@@RobertSchmitt yes I do have ceramic tints on my windshield. I am debating to wait a little longer since I just got them done less than a week ago or just remove the tint.
@RobertSchmitt2 жыл бұрын
@@carflo2112 ohh that may be why. Mine had sort of a haze and bubbles that went away on its kwn. Give it another week. Maybe try a clean microfiber cloth and wipe inside and out to ensure no grime. I'd also reach out to your installer if you don't see it improve soon!
