Why you acting like they have a 100% clear vision of the game but they are acting stupid. Why don't you highlight the mistakes because clearly when you are in kinder garden you can't know that 2+3 is 5, doesn't mean that you are stupid, you just didn't learn it yet. The moved you are making fun of they're just not seeing them, they have an incomplete vision of the game, the chess board, the pieces, their movements, the plays, ... Just about everything. The frame you use here is degrading and doesn't make you look smart neither mature

Eh, it depends on type of game you play. Giving checks as often as possible is a valid strategy at beginner level in bullet cause it makes people pause and lose a couple seconds even if they can just move the king out of check very easily.

@Louigi36
@Louigi36 2 жыл бұрын
@@ohitsshallows I'm also low elo and correctly predicted it, so I'll give you my thought process: Granted, I had the advantage of knowing that the move is going to be something unpredictable. Moving a piece forward for an attack, even when the player ends up making a mistake, would be understandable, so I knew that whatever he's doing is not an attack. So I was scanning the board for a move that does very little, but just kind of looks nice, something that creates a little order in a world of chaos. And there it was: Diagonal Pawns : ) I think that's all there is to it, it's just that the pawns now line up nicely, and I think that's the reason the player did that. Edit: More specifically, pieces are scary, pieces are complicated. New players don't always have a "plan" in mind when they make a move, and often move according to general heuristics. One of these heuristics is that diagonal pawns are better than spread out pawns. And if you're not really sure what to do with your other pieces, then your brain will fall back on a move that at least does something that looks like development without moving your pieces into immediate danger.

@@theorange1729 Does chess eval still do hard minimax? I thought they softened it a bit by average the top few lines or sth like that? But in general you are right, minimax in it's pure form evals on perfect play, meaning that you can only ever make the score worse (for you) than it is before your move. This of course disregards practical limiting factors, like depth limits and the (whilst great, still not perfect) heuristic eval that jumps in afterwards.

Hello I'm a 6 months in the future viewer, the championship was crazy, Nepo got abducted by the aliens on day 4 (he was released with superpowers 2 months later, don't worry about him), Magnus thought he just won and left town, but the sponsors weren't happy and they asked Giri and Rosen to play for the title instead (they were having a game of strip poker in the other room). So Eric eventually won with an extra queen he brought from home and his reign lasted for 3 weeks until he couldn't hold all the ladies out of his door and decided to disappear. You'll love it
