Its pretty clear how Dalton cherishes this car just by looking at small details on this video like: - His SLIGHTLY more technical and serious tone and approach to the procedures - His willingness to clean stuff - He used what looks like a freaking TORQUE WRENCH (incorrectly yes, but the thought's what really matters) - No self-tappers! - The small but noticeable concern towards safety and preservation of himself and the car - He did an alignment, using MATHS of all things 😂😂 Great video, hope to see this in some autocross event soon.

I still have my highschool car. '81 Camaro Z28, 396, 4speed stick, no t-tops but it's all good. It had a high smog low compression 305 when I bought it my junior year of 2001. Went down to the super Chevy show in Carlisle PA during that same summer and purchased a 396, trans and rear axle from a gentleman and they were from a '70 Chevelle SS that was totaled. Paid 600 bucks for everything. The 396 dropped into my Camaro a lot easier than I thought. Motor mounts were the only real hurdle.

I think people forget suspension sometimes, actually i know they do. A lot of guys talk about horsepower and how much money they have in their engines and transmissions but rarely spend much time other than maybe a set of shocks and springs on the undercarriage. Suspension IS your ride and you absolutely will shave time off your run with good legs under your ride! Nice to see her getting a freshening up Dalton!

So this may not be my wheelhouse but that starter deal is legit. $80 for a starter, period, is a good deal. Getting one for a vintage Poncho motor from a reputable company is an AMAZING deal. Glad to see the ole gold LeMans getting some attention. When I saw that starter you bought I was like "Oh man, that Jag has gone to Dalton's head, that's like a $300 starter", you said you got it for $80, I'm sitting here like "Nevermind, I would've bought it too" haha! Guys like you keep me motivated to keep saving money so I can V8 swap my 1983 Dodge Ram D150 short bed., I'm the second owner of it. It's a factory slant 6 with an A-833 4 speed, and manual steering, in 1983! I'm gonna be swapping in the wheezy also 1983 318 from my Dad's truck that was wrecked a couple of years ago, just about six months after he passed (I didn't do it and I'm still expecting Dad's angry ghost to appear in a cloud of Marlboro smoke looking for someone's ass to kick!). It's just a greaseball stock 318, I think it might have a small like RV cam in it or something, kinda sounded like it did, but it was a stock 2 barrel, even had the 40 year old Mopar ignition coil on it, which is now on my slant 6 with a ballast resistor added in line because some genius screwed up the wiring so bad in my '83 that I'm just gonna start over with an A-team HEI distributor and probably a generic Chevy 1 wire alternator. 'Cause that's how you fix a Mopar or a Ford, with Chevy parts! Anyway I'm trying to build a ratty old truck my Dad would've liked, ain't pretty, ain't clean, just a fun 4 speed V8 short bed truck, definitely getting some of those solid tie rod sleeves when V8 swap it, whole front suspension is getting rebuilt. It bump steers, baaaad, like "Whoa, no no! No! That's a ditch! Bad truck, no go right!" bad. I know part of that is just manual steering but I know I can get rid of a lot of it with better steering components. Plus the truck is 40 years old with like 300k miles on it. I now the original owner was from New Jersey, so is the truck, Burlington in fact, it came down here to Roanoke VA in the 90's, been to Florida and back a few times, it has about 300k miles on it. Tan on brown, with a brown tonneau cover for the bed, soft one that buttons on but I need to get it repaired because the stitching is coming apart. The original owner painted or had painted Dale Sr's 3 on the diff cover, and he had 275/60R15's on all four corners on 15x10" wide white wagon wheels, NASCAR style, so I feel obligated to install a boomtube exhaust when I get the 318 swapped. Side note, dude must've been a real man to drive a truck with 275/60R15's and manual steering, I'll be putting those on once I can afford the tires.

Love cars from the 70's. The govt. killed the muscle car craze with limited compression & polution restrictions (smog control) . But we got around it... I pulled the 350 outta my 74 camaro & put a 396 in it from a 69 chevelle.. I had a Monza Spyder (77) that I immediately ripped the smog control nightmare from the engine.. Then , changed the intake & carb, added some headers & Crager wheels . She was my favorite car for a few yrs.. But my all time fave was my 73 Chevelle.. Bought it from a couple who parked it in their barn after their son died.. It only had 26000 miles on it in 1979. Came with a 350 & 4 speed. It was like new to me at 16 y/o..

Great video. Congratulations on hitting 100,000 subscribers your channel really deserves it. You teach us that are automotive challenged how to fix things and also make it entertaining. Hope you get to 200,000 subscribers by end of the year. I cant wait for your channels videos to come out . Makes my week.
