I believe it will be the LB play that will be most important this year, especially in the red zone. It is a position that will get attention in this defense to make critical plays in the red zone.

We can’t be sure about how the OL will do but I think this is a far better group than we’ve had in a decade. There are options at multiple positions. There are guys who can step in if someone falters or is hurt. Given what we’ve had I can’t complain.

I think Kayvon and Burns will really eat in the Wide-9 hunting QB’s…while Dex and Phillips,etc collapse the pocket/pressure up the middle so QB’s can’t step up💪 #IllTeachYouHowToStunt💯🤣

@@H5000-zb2rw my guy maybe you seen or paid attention to OL but outside of CB and QB it is the hardest position to make the jump from college to NFL the top 3 OTs from that draft Neal, Ekwonu and Cross have all struggled …..the same way they talking about Neal in NY is how they are talking about Ekwonu here in Charlotte …..just cause you a top 10 pick doesn’t mean you gonna come into the league and have it together

"No excited about that yet till we get a QB to pull the trigger....." Jones was a top-5 deep-ball thrower a few years ago. Unless you're saying he's fully regressed - the amount of disrespect is so irritating. In 2023 he was pressured 53% of the time with an avg of 2.27s to throw. How're you supposed to throw the deep-ball if you have under 2.2s to throw the ball half the time...? He was clearly told to nix the longer developing routes. And go thru his ints last year. 3 of them were dropped passes, 1 he was getting hit, 1 was probably a Paris Campbell miscue where he didn't sit, and 1 was the Waller scramble route. They weren't mistakenly read coverages or anything indicative of a severe problem. If the line holds this year - like ranked around 23 - he'll have over 30tds and 4300yds. Guaranteed.

The DC runs a timid, soft coverage system. Not expecting much there.... maybe 6-8 10+ play drives per game. Crack choice schoen. The o-line is STILL extremely shorthanded. 3 seasons and the GM hasnt filled 4 positions with competent players. Barkleys career ruined, Jones career ruined. Too many bad management decisions to list. Owner picked this man. Eventually, if the giants remain a 4-6"win team for a decade or so, the league might intervene like Roselle did back in the '70's, appointing george young to right the ship. Only chance to escape this hell spiral.

Bowen runs a passive scheme especially compared to Wink but I bet he has a better run defense and 3rd down defense.

@@CometVS Its a happy idea, not taking any chances (blitzing, bump-coverage) yet still have a defense capable of stopping the opponent. Back when running and non-mobile qb's were the norm ('80's) if a team had excellent personnel, great tacklers and physical.... this system could work ( old belichek) ... but i see an endless series of swing passes, screens, 4-5 wr sets, and mobile qb's in the giants future. One where they get dragged down the field on near EVERY posession, multiple 1st downs, hoping to hold the opponent to fg's. Exhaustion, injuries, and poor field position the norm. I think theres a better chance the giants defense mutinies by week 6. Cant win with antiquated schemes and Bowen is using an antique playbook. Sorry.

@@tpatrick6902 I wasn't a big fan of Graham who utilized the same scheme, but he's been mostly productive with his guys. Bowen has too. Now without Vrabel with him, will he still use the 2 deep S look that most defenses use nowadays? Not Wink or Flores. I hope he does and it's one look Tyler Nubin will kick ass with.

Oh I recall Graham, his giant squads would routinely quit early in the second quarter. Players DESPISE playing their hearts out and being consistently beaten on 3rd down due to the DC not dialing up pressure. In addition, wasnt it grahams defense who set a giant record for giving up points in the last 2 minutes of every half? EVERY game I believe it was. Set new standards for defensive futility. Got him canned, that and a defensive mutiny by his players. Not gonna be a fun season for those guys. But... After the full regime change, which this is sure to bring, opptimism will return. Hopefully luck finds the giants, as it has twice before.

Schneier is clueless. DJ can make all the throws. Processing speed is directly related to time for processing. No QB can play well behind what was the worst O-line of the century.

IMO Schneier is a 20/20 hindsight guy, who loves to go back and criticize, DJ during his DUKE days, then destroys him for his rookie year, and overanalyzes every year since 2019, get a new script(We all know about reads, checkdowns and audibles) it gets old hearing the same negative criticism!!!!

do you all believe what comes from your mouth? QB controversy? Daniel Jones cant throw deep ball, he may ruin Malik Nabers? What is up with these takes. DJ hasn't thrown many deep balls, dont mean he cant. so much unintelligent analysis. No QB would have been able to succeed behind that o-line throwing to receivers who can not create space. Ever see the dude behind a line with time....and receivers who can get open? I cant wait for this season to show one way or another what happens to the QB. But serious question...if yall fans like the Giants, why not root for whomever they decide will be the guy..and there is no question Daniel Jone is the QB. Lock may likely fall behind Devito and be 3rd string anyway...so what then?? Yall want to try to trade for Russell Wilson.

Hopefully DJ breaks out this yr and isnt shell shocked like last yr, it was sad to see him play in fear last yr, if!!! Big if!! He can mentally overcome atrocious line play he had, which is improved, He can get it done, he had some great 4th quarter play 2yrs ago, he has the tools and toughness, he may be damaged goods! Shell shocked, (David Carr) if he plays frightened he's done I think he's going to have a breakout year and I think Malik is going to get rookie of the Year
