Ed, you explained a common occurrence for a lot of people-especially car people! What I’m talking about are long term projects. I’m guilty of it myself, I saw my father leave a few projects behind-due to his departing home 😌🙏. Time gets away from us. In high school I would grab the latest hot rod magazine and read the featured car stories. The odds were very high that the car owners story I was about to read-spanned at least 10years-some as long as 40! I would think to myself…🤨what’s wrong with these people?! Well, now I’m 45, I don’t know exactly how that happened 👀, but it happened way too fast and I understand those stories much better now! Since I do that kind of work.. I see one of the reasons for the “extended process” in terms of time! . Billy summed it up perfectly by saying-if it were up to him to build the engine-it may come out with a knock it shouldn’t have 😂. See, he’s a bodyman/painter, not an engine guy! It always comes down to people challenging themselves to do these processes themselves instead of having an expert that does it everyday do it! I’m sure Billy could build the engine just fine, I’m sure he has more than once and it would function as it should…but-Ed (who builds engines everyday-& could do it in his sleep) will be much more effective/better/faster! Vice-versa on the bodywork and paint! Just because we can Will ourselves to do something doesn’t necessarily mean that we should. I’m looking forward to seeing you able to enjoy your car Ed, you just expedited the process by leaving it with Billy! When each expert adds their special gift of expertise to the outcome, the cars ET improves dramatically! 😁

Are you still looking for an A-body 8 3/4 unit? I have one with small bolt pattern. They can be changed to large bolt pattern. It is a sure grip, but I am unsure of the ratio. Warren
