be nice if small rings were more common with theses re-builder pistons just ticks me off they do not use 1.5mm and so on

Very nice!... To save money I was thinking the old TRW's pistons.... Building an old 440 motor home engine with six pak rods on the dirt cheap... Won't see more than 5800 rpm.

Great tip about the end gap filling. Do you have a formula to use for setting the end gap based off of bore size or do you just use your experience from your success over the years 🤔
@edsmachine9343 минут бұрын
Hi John, I appreciate you watching and commenting. End gaps very engine to engine. These Keith Black's are .0065 per inch of bore. Nitrous and or Blown require additional clearance. The .0065 is the minimum requirement. Most engines start at about .0045. But varies depending on requirement. Have a good evening. 👍

If they would have brought that in valve up so the valves would have been across the center of the chamber.
@edsmachine935 күн бұрын
Hi David, thanks for watching and commenting. They did alot of things wrong. Should have filled the quench area behind the exhaust seat. Moved the spark plug over towards the exhaust valve, added material below the exhaust seat for a longer short turn. Reshaped the exhaust port, raised it up and got rid of the hook in the floor. Raised the intake floor. But with all that said, these heads will make big power for what they are. Have a great 4th of July. 👍🇺🇸

@edsmachine937 күн бұрын
Hi James, thanks for watching. You need to try and rig up a coolant system and use some valve grinding oil. You can get oil from Goodson Products Co. A small tank for a reservoir and a small pump. A flexible line . I am sure you can do this. Your valve grinding performance will be much better. Have a great week. 👍
