@@R9000 No, they are meant to buy you time and to keep honest people out as any person that is determined is going to get in so best use something like simply safe or any camera noticeable around the house as the thought of getting caught deters more than a lock so does a dog. Only the stupid ones will not notice the security system even if it is obviously right in front of them, like a house that has cameras probably also has alarms that notifies the police so it is not worth the risk to rob a house like that as you are going to get caught

Out of all the twigs, he had to pick that one. The most insulting one. We've all held a twig like that. Odds are it came right off a baby tree. Extra bendy with hardly any rigidity. Sadly, if they had used an actual lock cylinder it would have been a decent gun lock. Not entirely sure why the chamber end of the lock has an o-ring on it, brass isn't going to hurt the chamber.

@@Matthew_Removeafterwashing which goes to show you how bad their tolerances are. An automatic pistol is slamming copper and brass into the chamber, as long as the chamber end of the lock was round it would fit perfectly. But no, they went so cheap that the o-ring is needed.

Scott Kenny yes, it's easier and cheaper to make some shitty machining and put oring on this thing. They could even make the same piece of brass and just add some different sizes orings to make it fit in other calibers

If I had a prototype lock that I wanted to market, I would send it to him for an extensive five-minute test. Once picked, I would start prototype number two. Great skills!
