I like how serious you take these comparisons. What if one time you have someone else apply the make-up in a way where you don't know what side the brand is on. Then in the end you choose what side you like better, and find out what it is.

That’s the best idea ever because I started watching the video towards the end had it playing in the background because on camera it it seemed like the Elf side looked better, because the Tacha side looked like (while no pores) that it made every little bump noticeable I had to go to beginning of video and watch the whole thing over.

I’m so glad that jeffree has a great attitude toward drugstore makeup. So many people cannot afford the expensive tatcha makeup, and i remember when i used to buy really cheap stuff cuz i didn’t want to spend tons of money. E.L.F has really stepped up their game and jeffree approving these products is great for those who can’t afford sephora and ulta

For anyone wondering, Squalene (pronounced “skwayleen”) was originally derived from shark and whale fat but can now also be produced synthetically from plants. It helps to smooth and plump the skin, much like a liquid sugar. It’s great for dry skin types! It seems that the tatcha primer is more rice based with a lower level of Squalene, where the elf is the opposite, so an oilier skin type will most likely prefer the tatcha, whereas someone drier may prefer the elf! Hope this is helpful! ❤️

Squalene is a nice ingredient. The Ordinary make plant-derived squalene that is very nice scrunched into drying hair (to seal it and lock in curls) and on elbows, heels, etc. The Ordinary version is also affordable.

Jeffree should do this same kind of video, except someone else puts the primer on each side of his face so he doesn't know which one each side is until the end of the day when it's revealed to everyone. I don't think he lying about any of his opinions on the products, but I think it would be a little more interesting for him to give his opinion on each side of his face without knowing which one is drug store and which one is luxury

I came here because I was wanting more info on the elf primer to see if it's worth a shot. This is where I always go for my best info on makeups. Jeffree, I've never noticed it before but even WITH foundation on, your face still has such nice coloring shine through... it's like you have some nice natural pigmentation. I'm so jealous!!!

I love Jefree’s confidence, he’s one of my favorites because he doesn’t care about the haters, and ignores them. Not to mention he’s also a professional at makeup. He gives me confidence, to wear makeup, there was time I felt extremely nervous to wear makeup outside but now, I have unlimited confidence due to the confidence of Jeffree and James Charles. Also Jefree’s is very informative and educative in makeup, he’s honest and reliable. Which is why he slayyys so much!!! 💄💄💄

This primer is BOOOOOMB !!!! The elf foundation was the only thing I wasn’t a big fan of (it can work for someone else tho so no hate towards it ) I tried it with NYX can’t stop won’t stop foundation and Elf 16 hr camo concealer , set it with my cover fx setting powder AND GIRRRLLLLL 😍😍😍 my face was FLAWLESSSS 💕💕🌸 I went to work and I noticed that everything was still intact !! I have a very oily face so that was a big deal for me. Everything blended well even tho I used different products. Love you Jeffery you are a QUEEEEEEN 🌸💕

I got a mini sample of this primer and it's really great. Sometimes I wear it without foundation and just put setting powder over it and it looks like I have foundation on. Great review!

if Jeffree gives his "JEFFREE STAR APROvE" vote for a drugstore brand then I am all for it cause I may have champagne taste but I do have and live on a beer budget. I do splurge once in a while on 1 item of makeup like a Jeffree Star lipstick but otherwise, I stick to drugstore ( Wal Mart for me) makeup. Plus I love elf makeup cause it's so affordable for my budget.

Not gonna lie.. I used to dislike Jeffree just because of the drama which is extremely immature of me.. one day I decided to click on one of his videos and give him a chance. He definitely won me over within 2 mins and he’s my #1 now. I’ve learnt not to judge someone based one what you read or what people say. He’s bougie AF but he’s equally as genuine, real and kind. He has a high standard and doesnt like bullshit which I love, yet he accepts and loves people who are different. I think that wins above all. Made me really realize that it applies to everything in life. Thank you Jeffree for teaching me a lesson beyond make up and material things. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Daddy.

Wow! That's exactly what happened to me! At first I really liked him and then all of the drama about racist stuff that I read about, made me not like him, to be completely honest! But I kept finding myself watching some of his makeup videos on here and I like his reviews! So like you, I had to just accept him for who he is now, current-day! And I really dig him! I bought the ELF primer because of this review and I love it!! First primer I’ve ever used. I love doing my eye makeup but always hated how much smudging and creasing I’d get. I’ve worn the primer with full eye makeup a few times now, mostly to work and once to a party. The only time out of those that I had any creasing was after wearing it from 4pm one day to 6am the next day-that’s 14 hours with very minimal creasing, and my eyeliner was still 100% intact! No touch-ups! I’m super impressed.
