It's not a fresh install, but it still starts fast with all the services i have.

My lfs install takes less. Complete boot up from button press to lock screen is like 2 sec. Everything is insanely optimized for speed and cant be reproduced on modern hardware do to ram training. Only works on ddr2 and ddr 3 systems. One day i make a video about it wen enough people are interested. Btw ther is room for improvement but i need time for this.

@@grz3chotnik for a very small GNU/linux system, follow lfs guide without taking blfs (excluding the uefi boot stuff), it took me 6 hours 30 minutes with 4 cores. Jobs:19 (Intel i3)

@@PurgaLinux Fíjate que mi laptop sin escritorio gráfico y con la nueva ssd instalada dura unos 6-9 segundos dependiendo el tiempo en el que elija void en el grub

windows 10 requires 2 second to see lockscreen, even in arch linux, the boot time is slower than windows(idk why)

The fast boot is cool for fast start, because kernel's and some services' state is saver to disk. On the other hand if one of them may have bug or memory leak, it will be saved until next boot, so the error will slowly build up. This is not done when rebootig if I remember correctly.

@@nex-is-lost definitely not cap, it does so on my laptop too, running from an NVMe but usually laptops just have faster BIOS times, my desktops BIOS time alone is usually 8-12 seconds... horrible! wish I could optimize it

You're saying GRUB is bloat but recommending systemd-boot? Anything even slightly relatead to systemd is bloat... Use rEFInd with dinit and you'll see how fast you can go
