The portal would be amazing tweaked to be a charging stand (just drop in, no need to fiddle with wire) and phone configured to automatically show portal animation while charging).

I'm thinking the phone portal would be a great idea for people who do 3d printed table top RPG terrain. Like, how many ways could you add in a phone to your D&D campaign and have it add to the experience?

1:24 is great but please be careful. I use those "special" incense in the past and the coal can burn through to the holder. Most of them self-extinguish out but I have had a few burn down through the wooden holder I had. Perfect use of that washer.

I have just started getting into 3d printing and have been looking at different channels and have found a few interesting ones. One of my favorite channels and one i recommend to anyone getting into time lapses is a small channel called "Black cat 3d" they are a very new channel and have just started making time lapses of all the different things they make. The channel is super nice when responding to commens and i feel they should have more subscribers and support.

The phone holder has a hole in the back specifically so you can route the cable out of the way! A little surprised that didn't make it into the video, your attention to detail otherwise is stunningly high as always Also this is the first video where more than one thing is actually relevant enough for me to save the video for later, this is rather exciting for me! I will be attempting to make four of the things from this, at least, perhaps even more depending on how many people like them as gifts haha👍

@@WildRoseBuilds after reading that curling results from poor cooling, I tried to lower the print speed für the wall shells, and set the fans to 100%. A print that was knocked off by the nuzzled cause of the overhangs printed fine with this settings, but still, the overhangs look messy..

Love your videos, I have an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro myself, I just can't get my prints to consistently stick to the bed. I have tried many things, and I have noticed that you have changed from the stock Elegoo PEI bed to some other one. I would really appreciate it if you could name the brand of the PEI bed you use. Your prints always seem to stick well which is a dream for me!
@WildRoseBuilds
@WildRoseBuilds Жыл бұрын
The stock bed is actually just as good! I unfortunately fused some petg to mine and marked it up quite bad. Give it a really good scrub with hot water and a sponge then a wipe with isopropyl. The one I switched to is an ultistik brand one

@shhstaysilent Жыл бұрын
@@WildRoseBuilds Interesting! Maybe the one i got is defective? Or maybe my filament? Appreciate the feedback, again, love your videos.
@truantray
@truantray 9 ай бұрын
Set the first layer height lower, and wash the PEI with soap and water. Isopropyl just dries oils back down to the surface. But for prints with a smaller contact area, a thin layer of glue stick solves a lot of problems. Also, you can increase bed temp to 65C for PLA and 75C for PETG.

Octoprint is a platform that allows you to connect to your printer via a raspberry pi. There are many advantages to this including adding a Raspberry Pi camera where you can watch and control your prints remotely through Octopod. You can schedule photos by time or layer change, and even have the print head move out of the image for each photo. You can also add AI to watch your prints and stop them in case of stringing, thermal runaways, and fails. Can be a bit daunting for beginner level, but lots of helpful content out there to push you along your path to remote access and time lapse vids. Aloha.
