Deepavali, or as many call it Diwali, is the real magical time of the year in India. I remember being a kid, me and my mom and dad were going to burst crackers. My elder sister had already gone somewhere, so there would be no one at home. My parents literally did not lock the door and they just left it open cuz it is not holy to close the door after u do pooja. I was only 10, so I was shocked! I asked my mom "Mummy, what if a robber comes and robs our house? All our valuables will be stolen!" My mother laughed and she replied "If that robber wanted to rob our house, they would definitely not do it today, it is Diwali Kanna![ my nickname ]. Even a robber would not rob our house!" I was confused but agreed with it. Later we come back and find that the door was in its exact position as we left it! My mom said "See Kanna?. Told u, the robber will not come today!" i laughed, good old times 😄😅
