Wow!! You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I don’t think we have any pottery barns near me so it’s even better that I can make my own now. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d really love to learn more from each other.

Wood is 36” x 12” paint grade pine panel from Lowe’s. (At the time of the making of this video it’s was $7.12) Tools ⚒️ 8 1/2” Ryobi Table Saw Ryobi One Plus Air Strike 18 gauge nail gun (used 1 1/4” Brad nails) Ryobi One Plus Drill with countersink bit Ryobi Mouse Palm Sander (for finish sanding with 220 grit) Black and Decker Belt Sander Dap Wood Filler Finish with Polyurethane Spray

How much weight do you think these would hold? Just curious if something like this could be used in a kitchen application?

These are my friends and I’ve seen these shelves in use and they hold a fair amount of things so I’d assume they could be used in the kitchen as long as you don’t put to much and you could even use things to reinforce it a little bit Like an l bracket or a dry wall anchor in your using these directly in the wall hopefully that helps

Can you do this without a table saw? I only have a curricular. Also, is the angle cut necessary? Or just for design

So yes there is definitely a way to do this without the table saw but having a table saw makes it much easier. The angle is partly for the design and partly to add a little more shelf space on the top so the bracket doesn't take up as much of the shelf.

What is the weight load max for these? Same as the pottery barn ones?

Hi! I’ve tested it with 20 plus lbs for the shorter 18” shelf and up to 40 lbs on the 3’ foot version though I wouldn’t use them to sustain that kind of a load.

It only costs $8 but you’ll need about $2,000 for the tools to make them.
