There is nothing better than getting a coat of finish on a piece and seeing the wood come to life. That turned out really nice!

Nice job, Brad. I actually like the idea of the hidden compartments in each one. Although I'm pretty sure my son would fill them full of legos before I could even think of what to put in there.

They turned out really nice Brad. It's fun to follow the progress on Instagram and see the sneak previews on the live but the finished product really looked beautiful. Love all the grain and variation in the wood.

Slick! This is a really cool project. I had some really old heavy pieces of oak and I bored out the back just as you did. I used a corded drill to ensure the power... hmmm, almost broke my wrist when it grabbed a few times.

I did one to . but i added walnut corbels and a. Maple apton looks japanese style live edge . nice grain on yer project came out real nice .i love making stuff. From firewood.thumbs up

Great video! Those shelves really turned out great. If you ever plan to put a lot of weight on them you can mount them with french cleats.

Nice work!!! Looks great. I'm right now looking at three options to hang a 'live edge' slab (shelf)...1) Wrought iron, underneath supporting brackets...2) Hidden shelf bracket like you did here...and 3) Leather straps as a way to hang the shelf. Decisions, decisions. ....whats your thoughts?

Brad - a wire wheel on the angle grinder will make short work of the bark and won't remove too much of the character or natural feel. It does make a big mess though. Nicely done.

This is one of those jobs where it's really important to get the holes drilled square. Use a jig, if you don't have a drill press. 4:34

Just thinking in order to use these Rockler Blind Shelf Supports, the log supposed to be same or even more than 16" long. usual firewood logs are cut shorter than that. This is what I found immediately when I started taking measurements.

Hey this is a good idea. I have small logs to use after cutting a small tree down in my back yard. I have been wondering what to do with them after they are dry enough to be used.

Any chance you could sell these? It’s just what I’m looking for but I don’t own any of those machines. I have a jigsaw, drill and a chisel ... I don’t think that enough tools to make them. I have a ton of logs , living in The woods - lol !! Please help !!
