Deep breathing practice with me. Breathe deep along with me. 10 cycles of deep breaths: inhalation 15", hold 5", exhalation 15" . Then take 2 sighs (15").

Nice easy one ;) found you could concentrate on the feeling of what was happening. I did by accident hold my breaths in the sigh parts for a few goes, that was interesting in its self. Might have a go trying that when I get home tonight. Cheers

Thanks for the video Gert. I've recently been getting into static breath holds (this is my first times every doing breath holding) and I get to around the 1:30 mark but I think I feel contractions but I'm not sure they are "contractions". I do not feel anything in my lungs or diaphragm, it just feels like there is "air" trying to push out of my throat. Is this so called contractions or somthing else?

Hi captain Gert, Please can you explain why the free diver can dive deep and get back out quickly without any problem Unlike a scuba diver Which may be affected by the formation of hydrogen in the blood Thank you

nitrogen, not hydrogen ✌️ answer: because freedivers don't inhale compressed air, scuba divers do inhale compressed air. scuba divers need "stops", while freedivers can ascend without stops

Tnank you Gert on everything! I’m trying to reach 4 minutes but I'm not succeeding. I stated to do meditation every day and was able to reach 3:20 thenx to that but that’s it. Ther is another thing that I can do? I thinking about stopping with coffee, alcohol and cigarettes. You think it can help ?? And again thank you on everything.

coffee before breathholding raises heart rate. so you want to avoid that. also good cardio and health in general wll help you. But most of all: patience! you eed time. take it easy ✌
