@buzzerbeater3350Ай бұрын
@@BryantThompson-wp3ur I never understood that either.
@jimsangreal7663Ай бұрын
@@BryantThompson-wp3ur That was the big one. I still believe Wiseman could have a decent career. He did average 10 ppg and 5 ppg for the Warriors, after all. Those numbers aren't exactly Anthony Bennett numbers, but he just hasn't shown anything new from day one. For a player that young, unless he's a total jerk (and Wiseman seems to have a good reputation as a person), the development team really should be at fault.
@BryantThompson-wp3urАй бұрын
@@jimsangreal7663 but you know I remember when Michael Jordan was the wizards team president and he drafted kwame brown and he was a bust you would think the greatest of all time would find talent that goes to show you how hard it is to project theses young players
@jimsangreal7663Ай бұрын
@@BryantThompson-wp3ur Sure, Kwame was a bust. Gasol was the only one of the ultra young, ultra tall top four that was an immediate impact player; Chandler got there eventually. However, much like Wiseman, Tyson Chandler, Jermaine O'Neal, and a few other talented young bigs, Brown was at an age when drafted that you didn't see what you had. Brown was a terrible rebounder and shockingly inefficient as a rookie. He improved on both of those, but he never became an impact player. He improved, but not nearly enough to shed that bust label. Chandler did and was very good on one side of the ball (and a lob threat when on the Hornets). O'Neal was late enough in the first round that I don't think "bust" was really a worry. When he was toward the end of his career, I was surprised. Brown actually looked like a competent player -- just nowhere near a first overall pick. It only took him a decade in the league to get there!

Wiseman never had a chance. Warriors never wanted to develop him, they should've had him in G League most of his 1st season. Everyone in HS is a star, what NBA needed to tell him, he needs to fill in the center spot, like a Kendrick Perkins or Steven Adams. Get those rebounds, protect the rim. When there are easy baskets at rim, go for it, if not, pass it back out.

When James Wiseman joined the GSW, they were already Guard Oriented DYNASTY that, obviously, didn't need him in the first place. FACT: In order to build chemistry with a 7 FTR, the rest of the roster must make a TOTAL COMMITMENT to adjusting to the 7FTR. Teammates are EXTREMELY RELUCTANT to buy in because VIDEO DOESN'T LIE; teammates do not want it to become obvious that the REAL PROBLEM is FEEDING THE POST.
