I feel as a parent- the only advice I’d give is before you give birth - you need to be prepared/understand your child is their own person- we’re here to guide, love and accept who they are. The last thing I’m worried about is if my child will be gay/trans/non-binary. I accepted them for who they are/were the moment I found out I was carrying them. I’m so happy/grateful I created a bond to where they can trust me to talk to me about everything. Even with that said - kids aren’t always going to share everything with you. And punishing them for figuring out who they are is going to cause SO much damage. Anyways- love your children… accept them.. be there for them. Listen before reacting . Take care ❤️

I am so happy I don’t want children and can be close friends with young people. I studied psychology and wanted to be a therapist, but a lifetime of every kind of abuse imaginable landed me on disability. That’s the only reason I’m grateful for it. I get 100% honesty and can help get them the help they need or just be there for them. You don’t get that luxury as a parent. Most of them have been through or are going through terrible situations. I’ve always been like this. My life at 30 is not like most adults. People find it odd that I bond with teenagers and people in their young 20’s, but I can’t relate to people with jobs, husbands, and children. I just escaped abuse after abuse after abuse and so on. College was the only okay time of my life. They get it. Realization, I had a friend who was on disability, also with bipolar disorder, we were so damn close when I was 17. She was in her late 30’s at least. I told her everything. It never felt odd at all to me. Stole her away from my horrific mother. Haha.

As a religious person you don't have to be like "oh yeah, love who ever you want", it's more about accepting everyone, even though it's not exactly you're opinion or beliefs. At the end, who are you to judge? As a religious person myself I accept everyone for who they are (as long as they don't hurt anyone) even though I'm not agreeing with e.g. their lifestyle. It's on god to judge. The Bible says love your neighbor, even though you don't agree. It's sad how she went from that to who she is now.
@leannialamov2462 жыл бұрын
being part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community isnt exactly a different “lifestyle”. its an identity and you should be able to believe in those identities whether you are a part of the community or not. if you can’t agree with someone’s sexuality / gender identity or see it as valid, then you dont truly accept them. I saw this in another comment but it really struck me: there’s no stronger hate than Christian love. be a safe haven and a support system for your marginalized neighbors. that would do far more good than “accepting” them by masking your prejudice.

People who love control, have children and think of them only as extensions of themselves, as their property, and not as whole people. A child does not choose to be born, and once a parent makes a choice to have a child, they own them food, shelter, financial and mental support, at a minimum, until they prepare that child for living independently, or until the child decides themselves it's time after they've reached adulthood, whichever comes first. These parent who demand their child follow strict rules and unreasonable demands, just for doing the bare minimum as parents, are disgusting. It screams "I am such a control freak and crave the smallest amount of power to such an extent that I had a child just to exercise my will against someone who can't escape me." "It's MY house, that I provide for them!" So your children should be grateful you didn't just throw them out to fend for themselves at birth? So grateful they have to pledge their allegiance and give up all autonomy, as a way to "pay" you for being a parent? A choice you made of your own volition? Also, you paid those bills using their identity and likeness for content, enslaved your own kids and don't even allow them a modicum of privacy, so if anything they paid for your lifestyle. She doesn't work, she vlogs her children's lives, so by definition they do support themselves. People who think a child "owes" them for doing their parental duties should just not have children. If you see your child only in relation to yourself, and not as an individual person, you missed the point of having children. Ironic that she isn't talking to her own parents, yet can't see through her self delusion enough to realize she is seeing her own future with her brood. She'll regret it one day, if she has any self awareness, but by then it'll be too late. Those poor kids are being taught to let people completely control their lives.

I refuse to label myself as a Christian or a Baptist because of my family and parents. My mother specifically. Christianity becomes so toxic so fast. Ruby’s thought process is something I see 24/7 in Christianity & in Baptism. It gets scary living as a child in a household where they believe everything they think or/and come across is Truth. Main reasons why I still don’t mess around with my mother too much and I still live in the same house as her. I have my own no bulls*** policy for myself every single time she gets into her little hissy fits. Anytime she cuss at me or show any type of unreasonable behavior I find unacceptable from her as an grown a** adult, I start to treat her like the child that she acts like. Sometimes I would even take the time to try to talk some sense & logic into her. It halfway works before she goes back into her own world. After that trial and tribulation, I just look at her like she lost her marbles and blatantly ignore her when I lose my patience. I ain’t got the time or patience for that matter to deal with BULLS*** because you refuse to grow up as a person and better yourself.

from what i've witnessed in my life and the people around me, when parents try to force their child to be someone they obviously aren't/don't want to be, once that child is 18 and can finally go to college or move out, they'll be gone forever. they will resent their families and go extreme in the opposite direction of their family's 'values'. and this divide and resentment will last for ages, if not forever. I've seen someone do everything their parents were against. tattoos, piercings, dyeing their hair, smoking, drinking, etc... I hope that one woman's daughter can escape one day and find herself

Really hate it when these people are saying that you can't be religious and be gay bc Jesus and God hate gay people like no... I'm not particularly religious but I'm gay and have been raised Christian thinking that Jesus and God accept me for who I am, and they don't hate people especially for expressing love. I don't live by the bible either, but it also taught me that I should be kind to others, and I should treat people kindly so they treat me so as well. These people clearly don't think that highly of God and Jesus if they think they (G&J) would hate a gay child just for being gay. Like come on, Ruby you're an awful parent.

Just a small note, when giving “trigger warnings” remember that it’s used for people who could encounter a discussion about a specific topic that might bring past trauma to mind i.e. trigger them. Just saying “trigger warning” doesn’t give much information about what the triggering aspect is and people who are triggered by one topic might be fine with another. It would be beneficial to add what the triggering topic is like “trigger warning: child ab*se” etc etc. I don’t mean it in a way to reprimand you or anything, it’s just a clarification! Also yes these people are insane 😭 its almost impressive, the amount of mental gymnastics they do to say “it isn’t based on religion!!” yet all they teach are copy and pasted conservative christian values. Alrighty then.

My opinion is triggering to people as they are usually wanting an unbiased opinion so I gave a trigger warning about my honesty. It was more of a jab at those who don’t wanna hear my opinion.

Okay so people are asking questions. Understandable! She doesn’t want to answer questions? Understandable. But just say that you’re not comfortable answering those questions, or that it’s a private family situation. Don’t say “well here i got another value for you; boundaries; don’t ask questions that could be overstepping boundaries”. You are allowed to ask things if you’re curious, you just shouldn’t always expect an answer. These people are clueless

They should rename the Facebook Group. I have a few suggestions: 1.Making a Disfunctional Adult 2.Making a Murder 3.Traumatizing the Youth 101 4.Empty Nesting: Fast Track to No Communication with Your Kids 5. How to Be a Shitty Parent in 5 minutes 6. Parenting Nightmares 7. Parental Control 8. Trauma Now, Therapy Later 9. The Misery of a Child

Their "distorted" principles on EVERYTHING is distorted AF. Imagine iff she was your mom!!!!😢 Those poor kids will be in therapy forever and WILL never be able to fix the bond they don't/won't have w their parents. The books and stories they will tell the world after they cut their parents off will be chilling.

I'm not sure if it's possible to report a group you're not involved in on Facebook. But I say if it is we should all be reporting this group for hate speech etc. Groups like this are completely toxic. It deeply saddens me to hear the story of that young girl who was trying to discover herself and her sexuality and is now being greatly punished for it. Truth and agency is literally a bunch of BS its a cult and should be reported to Facebook as such. It should not be allowed.

8:46 this frustrates me because a child and teenager is just that ! They have less than 20 years of life on this earth so they don’t know how it works they don’t know that might get better but you are an adult and their parent, their loving parent who has been there for at least 20 years (mostly)should help them with that
@juno32812 жыл бұрын
if you have to ask someone else wether or not your child deserves to be loved, you shouldn’t have children. i intern at a doctor’s office that evaluates kids during custody issues and i really believe a case can be made here. mostly with the food issues. refusing to feed your toddlers is child abuse. the rest of their bullshit is just further proof that there’s something wrong with those parents. i bet if those kids had someone to talk to they’d find out a lot more.

I was very sheltered growing up. I wasn't even allowed to watch I dream of genie or anything that contained magic, etc lol As my mom aged she grew lax and now regrets at some of the things she did, but I resented her for a while in my late teens/early 20s. We made up after I became a mother myself and realized I don't have very much time left with her to repair our relationship (shes 80 now). I wouldn't be surprised if these kids do the same thing and distance themselves from her as soon as they can.

The saddest part for the kids is that her and her husband separated them from the rest of the family. No grandparents, uncles, aunts or cousins until they "see they live in distorsion" and join their little mormon scientology club. Those poor kids just got deprived of the last support system they had. Also the fact she has being exploiting those kids for views for YEARSS. And they are not entitled to any of the money? They sent shari to uni (that she has to pay of her own pocket) and she is not allowed to ever live again in their house since she turned 18. She had to move and rent an apartment for the summer with 3 roomates, because she is no longer welcome in ruby's house. Let that sink in
@aghasearmyshawolblinkonce80392 жыл бұрын
sounds like she's using religion to cover up her abuse same with the husband. I have a feeling he abuses her as well. the fact he isolated her from her own family is very telling.

channels with children as the forefront need to be compliant to the same rules child actors and their guardians must follow. this is so damaging and no one is getting punished for it.
@meganjean11452 жыл бұрын
I do agree They have so much influence over some of their followers and i think Ruby realized that and she is becoming power hungry in a way. She realizes how much influence she has over some of these parents and is taking it to the extreme. I think all the attention has gotten to her head. She's a different person in the 2018 video

I struggled with a lot at the beginning and I’m sure I will forever struggle with raising my daughter in a good way but I don’t see how anything ruby and her equally insane group “preach” is going to be good for anyone.
