I said this might turn into a series...here we are with video 2 of the quick tips, 8 tips this time. (how many are needed to be considered a series? doesn't seem like 2 is a series? guess we'll need at least a third, maybe a forth.)
Taking some inspiration from Spinal Tap this go round, if 11 is louder (better) than 10, that must mean a tip video with 8 tips is better than a tips video with 7 tips!
The 8 tips in this video, first we look at the Sliding Section View for getting a peek at those tough to see nooks and crannies in your parts. Second, how moving a toolpath in your solid tree can help to avoid some features which may produce some unwanted movement. Next, how we can easily deal with converting inch and metric values when in one of the other system units. Then we look at stepping through our backplot with other options than simply clicking the left mouse button repeatedly. Keeping with the middle mouse wheel, the fifth tip is using your mouse scroll wheel to interact with pulldown menu options. A very quick tip for tip #6 but one that is super useful for those coming from an X version of Mastercam, the Command Finder. Tip 7 looks at how you can add comments to your toolpaths and stock models without having to enter into their Parameters. And the final tip, Hide and Un-Hide.
I guess if this is to officially turn into a series of videos, I need to make at least one more! I think I can find a few more, let's hope I can keep the Spinal Tap thinking up and make the next video 9 quick tips!

Good tips. Very odd that Mastercam does not have a setup ALREADY for section view. also the snap to views only works on named planes and again you have to manually go in to make a functionality that really can be there from the get go. Odd! Perhaps they could give you a job there and you can do the needed fine adjustments for them.

Awsome, great tips. Where did you get your tombstone fixture in the first part of the video? Or did you create it yourself?

I work in the mold manufacturing industry I don't know the difference between Hybrid and Equal Scallop toolpaths When do I use Hybrid ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, When do I use Equal Scallop ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, please answer me
@CamInstructor

Hybrid is a combination of constant z and scallop. Equal Scallop cuts with a even scallop motion relative to the stepover. What works better is dependant on the part and the type of motion you are after.
