We don't get to choose the cover quilt design when we publish a book...that's left up to the publisher. I was so excited to see they chose that quilt for the cover. =)

Oh my they are so beautiful,I love these shows my husband and I watch together. I’m currently in the process of working on four quilt projects. Rex my hubby keeps saying he will be glad when I get one finished. I love your you sun washed fabric line. I need to order it before it’s gone,I’m taking a quilting class for beginners and I picked out some yellows and a pretty blue I’m going to put your check on the back in either the peach or yellow I have the pretty blue check for another project I plan on making. I love to see all your beautiful work. I also enjoy seeing Tigg’s too.

I've seen others making some of the quilts with checked fabric rather than piecing those portions and they look so cute! That's one of the reasons I started adding that large 1" check into some of my fabric lines. =)

Woven fabrics are beautiful. And the quilt up just fine. As for buttons. It's easier for us to just quilt around them than for you to add later. But ask your quilter 1st!

I’ve been working with some wovens and quilting cottons together. I love it! You made some great quilting design choices. I especially liked the quilting on the maple leaf quilt.

It is so funny that you decided to do this trunk show! I have the Martingdale quilt calendar which featured your "Check Your Heart" quilt in February. I don't think of myself as being a "heart" person, but after looking at it for a month I just feel like I need to make it! I love it, but like you said some of the fabrics are very hard to find now. I have been looking at fabric and the book for a while now! I also love all of the other patterns in the book! Thank you for everything you do!

Good Morning Corey, I do like that you put fabrics to these designs, it does make it easy. I really like the checkered flags, think your newest fabric line would look great with this. I’m seeing another book to my collection cause I’m seeing many quilts in this that I love.

With the amount of time between making the quilts and then the book coming out, I think you almost have to offer some alternative fabric options. I didn't even think about Sunwashed for Checkered Flag but you are right... that would be really pretty!

Your Check Point quilt in those beautiful grays is so striking. Hands down my favorite. I have your book and have been planning on making it. I also like your maple leaves. ❤ I’ll say it again, because it can’t be said enough, you are so very talented and such a gift to the quilting community.

Those neutrals in Checkpoint make it such a versatile quilt. When I mocked it up in a different fabric line, I went with another neutral option. It would be just as pretty in a less neutral option but I think it's beautiful in a gray.

@@CorianderQuilts I think what I like about it the most is that it would make a great quilt for decorating but also for men. It’s hard to find a good men’s pattern. And this one ticks so many boxes. I want to do it in your Buttercup and Slate greats with a cuddle back. So warm and pretty.

I'm so glad that was helpful. If you wanted to, you could also choose completely different colors to create that checkerboard. I shared the Tossed Checkerboard quilt over on my blog using fabrics from Sunnyside from Camille Roskelley. Choosing the fabrics from one collection creates a completely different look.

That is so kind of you to give updated fabric recommendations. I wish everyone would do this! You are very kind. I bought this book when it came out but hadn’t decided which fabrics to use and delay puts me in a quandary as far as the fabrics still being available!

That is often the case with books. Even if purchased as soon as it releases, there's probably still about a one year delay from when the quilts were actually made. =)

I love all those quilts. I wonder if you could do the snowman's details with a fabric pen. I've never used one and would love to hear your opinion on that.

I would be hesitant to use a fabric pen....I can't say without testing it out how well it would hold up. It always seems to me that when they are used for quilt labels they fade a bit after it's been washed a number of times and I don't know how much fading you'd want. An alternative would be to embroider the faces if you didn't want to applique or use buttons.
