I just finished my first semester at my in-state school & I'm so glad I took your advice and got an iPad/pencil/notability! It worked out great! Congrats on being 1/2 way there!

Great video and tips! Prior to vet school did you get your certification in vet assistant or became a vet tech?

Nope. I went straight to vet school after undergrad. I work as a vet tech/assistant now, just not certified.

Vet school is cheap in Europe........ In Nigeria vet earn more than human doc...... If you wanna study vet in Europe chose Romania

hi, Brittney, I am a freshman in high school right now and have been wanting to be a veterinarian for a long time. I was wondering other than working or helping out at a vet clinic what would you recommend to do that will give some experience to people who are 15 or 16. What did you do?

I live in California so things may be a bit different here than there.

Hi. You could work/help out at a shelter, clinic, humane society, farm, or with a large animal vet (if in your area). Unfortunately due to labor laws, many clinics may not let you work until you're 16 and it may be minimal kennel work, but anything helps and you can work your way up. I started volunteering and then working at a vet when I was 16. It was a family friend so he let me do ALOT, but it's hit or miss just depending on how much the vet will let you do unexperienced.
