I am not a fan of poutine, but that version with smoked meat on St Laurent - just steps from Schwartz' deli does look appealing! So much to love in Montreal, and you seem to have a good grip on the language. It is one of my favorite cities in the world. Love your high energy! Actually, this is what Montreal is all about, high energy, free spirit, many different cultures respecting one another, many different ethnic groups mixing together and the song Summertime definitely belongs to Montreal Québec since we celebrate summer here, even under the rain. You forgot to mention a very important event happening at Mont Royal every Sunday, les tam-tams! Bring a picnic and come listen to the many percussionists that reunite with their mesmerising rythms :)

Thank u. In NYC the monthly subway fare is $136. My train comes every 7-20 mins during rush hr. There r signal malfunctions every day. Often times, u spend $136 on a metro card, and then need to pay for an Uber b/c the train is delayed. It's very abusive. Then a billionaire leave 50 million to a cat.

@@mariesoto2056 Take a walk on St. Laurent, up from Sherbrook. Hang a right on Rue Prince Arthur and keep walking till you hit the park. Come back to St. Laurent and turn right to continue north. Don't miss "The Main" as you walk, which is a renowned local deli (don't let the lack of decor fool you). Keep going till you hit Duluth and hang a right. Keep going till you hit Hotel de Ville. Let your eyes take in the smorgasbord of opportunities at every step. One nearby gem you would miss on tour though is Café Santropol on the corner of Duluth and Saint Urbain, which is a longstanding delight. A breakfast/lunch diner you must know to be a proper Montrealer is Beauty's Restaurant at 93 Mont-Royal Ave.

The nightlife is hard to beat if you know where to go. Also, you REALLY want to learn some French and try to speak it everywhere. But you will be able to function just fine almost everywhere (unless you are trying to cruise in that nightlife) regardless of your actual level of French. The rate of bilingualism is high in Montreal, and most here speak 'some' English, with many fluent. If they see you 'trying' but having a hard time, the vast majority will switch to English. The important thing is that you try. Oh... And pot is legal in Canada.

Love going to Montreal from Toronto..Winter time in Montreal like Toronto if you live near the subway You are able to get to the underground city Which has everything you need for winter. If not It takes you closer to somewhere that has what you need One of the downsides of Montreal is in deed traffic Keeping in mind many people are traveling from the east coast to west And West to east Many of them stay in Montreal over night And view the city Old port is packed with people wanting to see alittle taste of europe with cobble stone roads The A20 is always under construction And always has a crash choking the traffic back for miles Never use it on a longweekend You will spend most of it on that highway There is a by-pass highway Which has a toll to cross it...If i did not get stuck trying to merge over I would of spent the money lol If you are a foodie This is one of the great stops ...

The Bruins! No contest haha XD And, hm.... I'd say St-Viateur (though it's a tough one!) Your French is not bad, by the way! I have lots of respect for English speakers who are learning French. If it can help someone who's worried about making mistakes, the grammar doesn't make any sense to us sometimes too ;) And if you add Quebecois into the mix! oh boy! But please, keep trying to speak French, we love you guys ^ ^
