I would add some minor things. Cook dinner for him! Going out to dinner is fun but if you want to make a guy feel desired, cook a meal for him; even better cook his favorite dish or protein. My crush cooks for me and I love it. Embrace your femininity, you sort of mention this in your video. If you are going to the theater, buy a new dress, your date will love it. If it is hot and sunny outside wear a (slightly revealing) sun dress. You will melt his heart. I believe I can speak for most men, we love "girlie" women at any age.

I am a man over 50 who married a woman over 50. The advice is very good! I opened the door for my wife when we started dating and she lets me do it to this day. She has also allowed me to take over most of the cooking since I like it so much since COVID. She has her own special dishes that she makes and i don't try to take that away from her. We each have our place and it allows us to both get along.

Everything is spot on. May I offer a few comments/addendums ... 1. Rejection: Dudes understand this. Women simply don't. Rejection starts at puberty for guys and never really ends. You deal with it. Part of a measure of your own self-awareness is dealing with rejection in a positive manner. Thick skin. It's part of being a man. Most women have no earthly idea. 2. Vulnerability/Emotions: Women SAY they want the vulnerable, evocative man, but secretly they loathe those types of guys. They won't admit it, but it's there. They hate the Beta. Think of it this way: You're on a plane that goes through turbulence. The guy behind you starts crying out in fear. What do you think about this guy? 3. Compliments: Give a guy a compliment and he'll run through a wall for you. 4. There's a saying -- "women communicate face-to-face, men communicate side-by-side." Think about it. We're different. 5. When you ask him "What are you thinking?" and he replies "Nothing"... believe him. White noise. 6. Another saying: "Unconditional love applies only to women, babies and dogs." So true. For men, love is conditional ... what do you contribute or provide.

Excellent video, Lisa! I am 65 year old man, and you hit the nail on the head with your tips. I hope the ladies will continue to listen to you. A lot of men value a woman who is kind, considerate, and feminine. There are men who have been burned and are afraid to be burned again. It's important for women who are interested in men over 50 to have realistic expectations and understanding. That will go a long way. Older single men are afraid to commit emotionally and financially to wrong wrong women who will leave them or constantly criticize them once the honeymoon is over. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Anthony. And honestly, the same goes for women...many have been hurt tremendously by the time we reach our 50s. Others have been taken advantage of finacially. We're all living similar expeirences, yet we tend to think it is only the opposite gender who is the problem. If we can all be honest and kind, we would be a much better bunch! Thanks for your feedback!

I agree, I've been rejected by so many women that I've basically stopped asking. What are my pro's? Served as a US Marine, 2 degrees, licensed USCG Captain, newer model vehicles paid off, paid off boat, paid off the house last friday, no debt, make over $100k working only 40 hours. Cons? 57, no kids (apparently that means I'm unstable or something), not over 6" tall (only 5'11") and I don't have a 6 pack. I'm also sarcastic and probably won't change much in how I act or dress. But eventually I'll go to the pound and get another dog (sucks when you lose them) and have unconditional love again. And just maybe some lady will like the dog and decide the owner might not be that bad a guy.

I don’t know how this channel got in my feed, but I’m a 50 y/o recently divorced man with teenage kids. She was absolutely great the first 5-6 years and then became pretty cold the last 14 years after my son was born. I put up with it for our kids, but she broke us financially and spiritually first and then filed for divorce. Honestly I have little desire to date, but I also don’t want to be a hermit. If I meet a woman now, it’s going to be friends first and then once I know her better, then I might ask her on a date. I have no desire to be put through that again. I know there are good women out there, but it’s going to be tough ever getting to where I would put myself in situations where I might even have the opportunity. Good luck ladies, I hope you find someone worthy and you don’t tear him to pieces.

Men are also guilty of that behavior. After a year of dating a man who claimed to be madly in love with me. He suddenly turned stone cold when I leant him some money on a night out. A night out that he wanted. When I told him I would need the money back. He turned stone cold, asked me to leave his house and refused to talk, listen or even look at me.

I so agree with Lisa here. I had some good and bad managers during my corporate career. My favorites were women. They were supportive and listened the best. My least favorite were also female. So many profiles that I read make me feel as if I'm reading something from one of those seemingly masculine female managers. I just cringe at the thought of ending up with someone like that. And so thankful that I have the freedom of choice to not do so. And yes, my go to behavior for a feminine woman is chivalry. I would plow snow for her, help with her car, her errands. Whatever to make her life easier and her happy. It's just in our nature. If we are a traditional guy that is.

I agree with everything said. I treat men with utmost respect and love it in return. I'm a widow and thinking:: "Just be brave enough to ask me out, men, and you won't be rejected. And we can go to a fast food drive-through for all I care. I'll cook dinner, watch a movie together, just hang out. I would just like company and conversation and I love to laugh with a guy." If a guy had lots of money but he's not my cup of tea, then I would wish him well, I don't want to "catch" (hate that) him for his money. Happiness is not in that.

You are quite correct regarding; "He just sends a like or 😊" This is precisely what I went to, from reading their profile top to bottom, carefully going over everything and writing back a long detailed response stating how our hopes dreams whatever are pretty much in complete alignment (costing me say an hour to compose, because im serious. I just got home from heavy sweaty work. I've got better things to do but hopefully reaching out to them would make life sweeter). In the end I get either No response at all- You're joking right - Something along the line of buddy you're way off -(politely call me an idiot) Today I don't care if she might have the heart of Mother Theresa, Im not going beyond a basic hello anymore (if she is serious she will respond). Saved me so much time for rewarding activities. Basically this is accurate about how men think.

Very good video. I lost my wife in 2009 and we had my daughter together. Such great memories. I remarried and it was not my best idea and ended in a divorce. Alcoholics can not change,I saw the warning signs but I thought given the right environment with less stress and problems she could overcome her addiction but the alcoholic I found will create drama to have an excuse. Lesson learned. Now I am 57 and single and women can be fierce and cruel. I am polarized and just think it's not worth it. If it happens, it will be much more careful.

Tremendous demand on my personal time as I was already running a huge construction crew for a luxury home remodeler. On completion, the wife’s friends loved it. My wife was picky about insignificant things. No happiness, no peck on the cheek, no hug. Huh? I decided right then if something needed to be fixed around the house the check book was going to have to be good enough. Should have left her then. My mother... it's diificult to describe her properly... She's this sorta', "Men and women are essentially the same, except women are better," type thinker. Actually very smart, she fully understands men are physically superior and usually more driven to accomplish. She just believes that their egos prevent them from caring about others. She raised me and, i suppose naturally, i generally somewhat agree with this assessment (male intp). If we look at lion prides, we see a pretty good illustration of what I mean (in terms of most-common tendencies): Women do the most important jobs: FUNCTIONAL spiritual upkeep, raising young, instilling values, creating and maintaining socioemotional atmosphere, maintaining balance, mediating testosterone-fueled disputes and egos, etc, catching and preparing dinner, and basically making life work FOR EVERYBODY. Men protect the pride (...from other males as the exclusive sole threat...), control the pride by force, and act on testosterone and ego. Almost all of their value comes from simply PREVENTING what other males would threaten to take away or hurt. lol Of course with humans, it's more complex and there is also nature AND nurture in effect (ie, we've socially engineered men as the ones who are expendable). Men are good at singular projects because they are thus less attached and extremely driven to assert their egos. Everything theat men have claimed to do throughout the centuries, as GREAT as these accomplishments have undoutedly been, they're, ~85%, usually done as a natural byproduct of our journey for ego exaltation in one way or another... Understand that this means we lack the balance and true care/understanding/concenr for others that females are engaged with constantly. ANYWAY, I'm always cringing seeing the way my mother deals with men in her life cuz, while I know where she's coming from and can interpret her shorthand approaches with benevolence and understanding, other men don't. It makes me feel sorry for her. I try to elucidate how to work the emotional situations. But she's pretty stubborn in her resolve to get males to, "Oh brother... Get real." I suppose I sometimes tell her, "MOM, we all need our fancies and minor fantasies to get through life... If he needs you to need him or to act like he's strong or msart. Why not do it?" Buit her retort is always that she's not going to pander to some emotionally stunted child. Then i'm thinking... BUT THAT'S WHAT MEN ARE, AT THEIR CORE! She tried to work on my father for around 30 years and they divorced. Then , like fking magic, my father becomes the person my mother wanted (No joke.. Mr. Super Christian, giving to charity, loving, supportive, etc). But, now, for another woman (just like you said in another video).

I think my only demands on a man would be: 1. If I cooked it, you eat it. (no picky eaters) 2. I like silence, so you don't have to fill the void with chit-chat. Can't we just be comfortable in each other's company without running our mouths or needing constant TV background noise? 3. If I'm attracted to you, I'll maul you everyday - so let me.

Thanks for your feedback, annc560! Hmmm...demand is a strong word and that alone might scare anyone, man or woman away. And #1 is a tough one. I don't think anyone should be forced to eat anything they don't like. But...if that is your deal breaker, then so great you're clear on what you want. I would advise my clients to dig deeper into that one and find the real reason why that is #1 on your list.

It's not worth the hassle. I prefer to sail the ship alone . I eat the food I like Watch my own TV channels. Come and go as I please . I personally can't really see a woman in my life .. I'm happy

Yes, women lying about their age, even by 1 year, is a hell no for me. I have no shame calling it out either. I will pull up search results, show them to you, and ask you, what is your real age. Like who the hell are you lady

@@LisaCopelandDatingCoachOh yes, men have lied about their age on dating sites and actually refused to answer when i asked, are you really 66 years old and he joked back do you think i am younger. He was obviously well into his 70s. Never even said yes i am 66. SMH.

Admirable attempt to help the fairer sex. If the advice you are giving which to be fair is pretty much accurate is aimed at women around the same age as the 50's age men you describe here you are way of base. Let me tell you why. I am 51 and would not even contemplate dating women even close to my age, the baggage, the ridiculous expectations and worst of all the fact most women around 50 are in terrible physical shape. Sad fact for women around 50.....the guys you can attract are in their mid 60's at best. I wouldn't even date a lady in her 40's......30-35 is the oldest I would date and obviously younger if she had the right attributes.

@@LisaCopelandDatingCoach Just to clarify....I wrote this comment regarding whom I would date if I was single. I'm actually married nearly 25 years and with my wife nearly 30 years.
