Astros Playroom is the best tutorial. Teaching new gamers how to use the PlayStation, and key skills needed for all sorts of other games out there. It was masterfully done.

A game I went in with no expectation that soared up to one of my favorite series was Gravity Rush on the PSVita and it's PS4 sequel. It's definitely not as big as the one's listed here, but make no mistake, if you like the game, you're gonna LIKE-like the games. And has some of the best music courtesy of Kohei Tanaka (best known for his work on One Piece).

Huh. *Everything* on that list, I've either skipped over because I knew it wasn't for me, or tried and then dropped like a hot potato because I just couldn't get into it. The later category includes Rocket League, Disco Elysium, Undertale and Hi-Fi Rush. For some reason, those kinds of 'surprise hits' just never seem to actually appeal to me, and I always wind up feeling like I'm *missing out* somehow when everybody else keeps raving on about them...

My suggestion is 10 games you didn't realize were going to be as epically long as they were; Original Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Earthbound, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, .Hack//sign, Bayonetta, and tons more. Games where you play and you go on this should be fun and three days later you go "I've been playing this how long?"

As soon as i saw astrobots play room i knew it would he first platinum on ps5. Only 2 hours long but top 10 favorite game ever for me. Always been a playstation person since psone and man if that wasnt the oerfect love letter as a free add on game. And how it showcases the haptic feedback in the ps5 dualshock is masterful. So good

I remember when Undertale came out, everyone said it was great and to just play it with no research. I hate JRPGs, but it was £7 and I could refund it if I didn’t like it. I came out the other side with tears in my eyes, songs stuck in my head, and a new favorite game of all time. It changed my life, as I now approach game design in a more subversive, interesting way. I don’t like doing what everyone else is doing, and I’ve got Toby Fox and co to thank for it.

When you mentioned Ring Fit Adventure at a very high price, you might want to look into it again. On Amazon and Walmart in the USA, the game is only $80 USD. I am not sure how that exchanges to your money, but since Switch games now go for $60 USD, and the leg strap which comes with it can sell for $10-$15 USD if bought separately (for Switch Sports), the ring is effectively $5-$10 USD.

Soul Sacrifice was a PlayStation Vita exclusive made with help from Comcept, the people getting Mighty No. 9 (though it releases long before Mighty No. 9). Very few people probably expected it to be so goddamn amazing, and it's upgraded expansion, Soul Sacrifice Delta, is even better.

Guardians of the Galaxy. Came in with no expectations, especially off the shit show that was the avengers. And it was just absolutely awesome. Breathtaking and just so much fun. Great story.
