It’s important you see him. I was diagnosed of colon cancer of recent. When I raise concern about it the first time my dr did the same. I pray it’s some other condition that’s not serious.

I have two tumours in my colon, and already had three colonoscopies done. At the time of first detection (two years ago), it was non-cancerous, Nothing was done to the tumours because I also had a heart issue, which doctor said should be settled first before treatment on the tumours. After having five stents inserted in my heart over time, the heart issue is now resolved. The tumours are now of a high grade (still non-cancerous) and doctor recommends surgery. Should I have the surgery done? Would this result in a stoma? What other treatments are available or possible?

@@Nourish808 - Thanks. That is exactly what I am doing. The doctor I referred to here is a specialist, and he advised surgery. But I am trying to avoid that if I can have a safer alternative treatment.

In colonoscopy tumour can be removed safely and biopsy test will make you sure ie, not cancerous
@jameskoh29456 күн бұрын
@@vijayyadav5593 Thanks. You are partly correct... it depends on the tumours' size. If it is too big or too spread-out, then it may not be possible. Anyway, in my case, it was not possible---as the doctor did not want to risk puncturing the intestine. So for the time being, we leave the tumours alone (as they are non-cancerous) and will re-evaluate every few months thru another colonoscopy. I am wondering is there any thing to take that could shrink or cause the tumours to disappear?

Colon cancer often shows subtle signs that shouldn't be ignored. 🩺 Here are key warning signs: 1. Persistent changes in bowel habits, such as diarrhea, constipation, or narrowing of stool. 🚽 2. Blood in the stool or rectal bleeding, which may appear bright red or dark. 🩸 3. Unexplained weight loss, despite no changes in diet or activity levels. ⚖ 4. Abdominal discomfort like cramping, gas, or pain. 🤢 5. Fatigue or weakness that doesn't improve with rest. 😴 6. A feeling that your bowel doesn't empty completely. 🧻 If you notice these symptoms, consult a healthcare provider immediately for further evaluation. Early detection can save lives. ❤
