I love your video's but this one i don't agree. first of all because of our mothers we know what we want in a men, and not a marriage they had. we know better, and they deserved better too. there are mothers who defending their low value men who did nothing but to hurt them but we don't follow our mothers, THANK GOD for that!! And you also saying that mothers teach their daughters to be strong and independent. first of all, i wish they did and do that, but they don't!!!!!! we should be independent and not be submissive like they where!!! i know alot of tradional housewives, the older generation especcially, they teach their daughters, whatever your husband do, just forgive. and thats wrong. i talked to hunderds and hunderds of woman about this kind of stuff because of my research. i wish they told their daughters to be not like them. Mothers couldn't always hide their feelings their frustrations about their husbands, so they told their daughters, but not to their sons, i wish their sons also knew how much their mothers suffered. Even when my mother told me alot of bad things about my father, it didn't messed me up and than she prentended like nothing happened and that because she thaught she had too, thank God we woman now are not like that anymore and we don't have too. We don't act, listen or want to be like our mothers. we know better and we won't settle for less. and a woman who is married a low value men is because she is low value too. i am married with a men who is very loving and he support me with everything. we love and respect eachother. my mother didn't messed me up wiht that. so i am do not agree. And another thing, its the fathers who messed up their sons!! but you talk about daughters, why? sons follow their fathers, how they treat their mothers. Alot of men think that woman are less than men, but they also believe a woman should do everything in the household. and that because there mothers did that too. they expect their wives to be like their mothers who where submissive.. thats so wrong. those sons have no idea how much their mothers suffered because when i tell them we don't want to be like our mothers, they think we are menhaters, and that because they are not very smart. some how they think we should be like their mothers. Wel HELL NO!!

Little girls need to be separated from psychopathic, demonic, abusive men. That doesn't mean you should bad mouth him to or in front of your daughter, but your #1 responsibility as a parent is to protect your children from harm & abuse, even if that abuser is their biological parent. Careful..

1. She modeled disrespect for your father. 2. She conditioned you to believe and behave as a voiceless shell of a woman. 3. She put a demand on you to be tough for the world you would face. 4. She coddled your brother, while she was tough on you. 5. She infused you with a hatred for your father. 6. Her poor relationship with money has become your norm. 7. Her overly critical attitude towards you has created an inferiority complex. 8. Her competition with you for your father's affection has introduced you to toxic sisterhood.

This is such an important conversation. My mother and I have never really had a good relationship. It took me years to truely understand why she harboured so much bitterness. She had a toxic, traumatic childhood that she refuses to address. Our relationship has reached a point where I cannot be around her because I'm trying to find my own healing and be a better parent. Thank you for articulating this so well.

This one was personal 😢. Being African our parents NEVER talk about partner selection, Sex safety, STD, birth controls, pregnancy, etc but they expect their daughters to show up with a degree and a husband. I love my mom soo much but that conversation could’ve saved me from molestation ,domestic violence, and unplanned pregnancy. Never did I ever think I would be a single parent but I am and I love my child soo much and to break the cycle, I’m going to make sure my little human knows all of theses thing and then some. I forgive my mom because she was an immigrant in a new land and back in Africa they don’t teach any of theses things so she didn’t know better. But unfortunately, I had to learn the ways of the world and I’m still learning as if I’m 15 again. Love your channel. I start and end my days with your videos ❤

My mom age 78 was a single mom of 3 daughters no fathers & 1 given up for adoption. It was a horrible experience growing up until I was displaced by age 15. Older men, living from home to home of childhood friends, still attending school.... grandma & mom both uneducated and my sisters were not parent at all. My sister & I both had a husband once, & I still struggling with life ups and downs. God has blessed us throughout our trials and errors. Also, mental illness plays heavy in family upbringing.

My mother emotionally, and sometimes physically abused me,she left me to fend for myself, not spending quality time with, no taking me shopping,no bonding time, and hardly even talking and sharing anything with me, my dad was absent most of childhood and adulthood as well, I experienced so much pain from this and made alot of bad choices with men, and being mislead by men thinking by having sex with many partners that they will probably love me. I had no moral guidance and no one to show me or talk to me about men or loving myself and having self esteem growing up in my younger years, It has been so hard to cope as an adult.

This video is timely. I have been struggling recently because I have come realized that my mom didn’t teach me how to be a woman or wife. She was married to my dad for 52 years before he passed away. I have been very upset with her because I am watching her parent as well as teach other women how to be wives and mothers. She’s replaced me with other women in my life so many times in my face, and expecting to except it. It hurt so much, but I am working to not hate her. It’s difficult. I am working on me now. It’s a lot of work, but I am determined to be a better versed of me. I am truly grateful for for RC Blakes. He’s helping me so much in my life. I am truly grateful.🙏🏾💕💕🙏🏾

She can never understand or have empathy for how she hurts me and make me feel seen and heard. Its always about her and her feelings matter more. Im always the villian. When I finally came to terms that she is a narcissist it made sense to me why ive been attracted to toxic/ narcissistic men and its only damaged me even more. Im praying you'll go into deep depths in this topic, its very much needed. Thank you Rc Blakes!!

To the point that if a man show me some traits that remind me of my family I run away !! I have zero tolerence and patience But in same time I have been avoiding unconsciously relationships in any kind of way I had my first love at 27 and realise all my trauma soo late in my life ! Now I know.I wont get married because by the time I heal it will be too late to build a family but its okay

You are not alone. My mother is a narcissist too. I've been avoiding people for years because I was ashamed. Last year I shook off the embarrassment and started to show my face to people in my old church again. It's not easy because many people suggest that reconnect with her. I won't do it. I can't drink her poison. Blessings to you and your journey. It's been 7 years for me, but I've struggled 13 years before that. You can have a good life. You can be happy.

“Women don’t say nothing, ‘shhhh.’” That eerily, chillingly resonated with me. I am a recovering people pleaser. Just now finding my own voice and sense of self at 26. I know that my grandpa was abusive when drunk so I know my grandma had to be quiet to survive and taught my mother and aunts this as well. Every time I call out abuse in my everyday life my mom punishes and ostracized me for calling it out. I don’t care any more, definitely reparenting myself and my future daughters. My mom is amazing and did her best I’m sure but that right there is not continuing to the next bloodline.

I thank you for this topic. I was today years old when I began to really start understanding why I was single. My thoughts about myself weren’t even mine I took on everyone else’s opinion about me. My mom and I have never had a good relationship and I blamed myself for it not knowing or realizing she didn’t love herself so she was not capable of ever loving my correctly. My grandmother and her would use my faith against me to make me feel bad like I was supposed to just keep allowing my mother to abuse me. Not to mention people who have never had a toxic mother tell me I only get one mom. It’s easy to speak on situations you’ve never had to endure. Now that I’ve been no contact I have so much more peace in my life. I am no longer mad at my mother I just want better for her. She isn’t healthy for me or my son.

SO glad you are speaking on this Bishop! The role mothers play in grooming and conditioning their own daughters to participate in unhealthy relationships is real. Momma ain’t always right. In reality, momma is often wrong when it comes to men, love, relationships and marriage. Especially the advise church mothers (some not all) give women on these topics. It consists of a lot of toxic and dysfunctional ways of being being passed down generation after generation. It has to stop. So glad you are discussing this…..

I couldn’t understand why I was thought about all the bad things my dad did from mother but what I saw was a good man trying his best to show love to a woman that constantly pushed him away! Lord there’s so much to my story that I can’t tell it all! Thank you Bishop for filling in the gaps as a father for a woman that had a father that didn’t know how to be a father! Lord have mercy 😢

But, it's ok to make mistakes because as humans we will do that. However, what's important is we want to experience our parents taking responsibility when that does happen, and being able to talk it out with the fruit of the Spirit. So, when both make mistakes out of love we forgive. I hate when my mom make mistakes she's always using the line, I didn't know because I wasn't taught. However, she has a relationship with the Lord, so he will teach you the ways you weren't taught.

Thanks for this I’m grateful for this msg much needed. I am now taking care of my mom and I’m parenting me and her at this moment. There’s a lot she didn’t teach me or any of her kids. I am now 34 and reprogramming my mind and learning and teaching myself a lot she didn’t. I’ve forgiven her and learned to accept what she didn’t do because she only could do what her parents taught her. She lost her mom at 8 and her grandmother raised her and her siblings she told me her grandmother didn’t teach her anything she had to learn on her own. My dad was in my life but he died when he was 26 in a car accident and I was only 6. My mom did what she only knew how and now I understand. It took me years to forgive her but now I understand. I’m now a mother and learning so much at the age of 34. Helping her and taking care of my three kids and teaching them differently I express a lot of love for my kids and have random conversations with them. It’s sad sometimes to see my mom in this condition she’s now sick with cancer and her husband left her and abandoned her 😢. But we keep God first and know we’ll get through whatever it is we’re going through. It’s a hard job for me but I’m a warrior and know I can get through anything that comes my way. ❤❤❤

As I complained about getting ready for these things (as a young child), my mother got tired of listening to me complain and allowed me to quit. I wish she had encouraged me to continue my dance lessons!! Dancing was a natural talent for me. As a grown woman, many times she would mention "If I had continued dance lessons, then I could have been a professional dance instructor and wouldn't have to struggle as much to make a living. My mother really didn't coddle my brother, but he was favored with the double standard that he was a boy and not a girl. My mother was hard on me and as a grown woman now, I see that she had to do what she did and I turned out to be an amazing, tough woman.

I was mainly raised by my dad and my mom was very passive in raising me. I understand that she came from a very disfunctional family, nobody ever taught her anything. So I am still trying to balance my feminine and masculine energy because I am mainly masculine. My normal and comfortable zone is masculine, I am fearful to be feminine. My guard is always up, waiting with a sword for a kill😩

This has been a word for me! This broke me down b/c it is confirmation of what has been in my spirit for sooooo long! Nothing would make me happier than to just be a GIRL every day! I listened all the way through. It was hard, but it was the most refreshing breaking and conformation I've ever had. Great springboard Sir. God bless you!

Critical mom, definitely, although I can appreciate her much more nowadays, seeing also her soft sides. I think at a certain point I felt no effort of mine to help her out was rightly appreciated, I hope I am that far in my spiritual growth I have outgrown any complex that could stem from this. Father God, if there is anything in me feeling inferior because nothing is ever good enough I bind that spirit to the pit of hell while binding myself to know every rightly and diligent effort to do good makes a positive difference already. And so it be, in accordance with this word and titus 2:3-5, ephesians 5:33, numbers 13:33, 1 kings 15:1-3 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, thank you God!

I hope you do a talk on ways smothering mothers mess their sons up into adulthood. I wish more ministers would address Emotional Incest and Triangulation of a parent with a child into adulthood, where they selfishly inhibit their target child(ren) from developing as equitable, functional, self-valuing adults, but held back to keep supplying a parent's Narcissistic controlling compulsions.

My mother was abused by her mother and sexually abused by her father. I was abused by my mother and sexually abused by my sister. So when I gave my girl up for adoption to spare her from this cycle all judgement broke loose. Not all are mature enough to understand. I can only hope my daughter gets it someday only I won’t be quick to tell her since I do t want to plant that seed in her imagination as she is approaching her teen years - esp as she is approaching those years. Reparent the parts that our parents got wrong YES !! MY children will also need to reparent the parts I got wrong ( I've had to apologize for the things I got wrong and so thankful that they opened their hearts 💕 with me ) their dad got wrong , their in-laws got wrong !! My momma was the domestic queen 👑 cooking, taking care of her children , taking care of her home but when I got old enough to know I learned she didn't have good wisdom to share about men or things you deal with in this world. She wouldn't even talk to you hardly about personal things because she didn't have wisdom to share . My father was a good provider but gentle he was not , Very controlling!

Needed this! it feels like a lifetime effort of trying to undo the influence of what my mom left me to handle relationships.i can recall all her life she was in abusive relationships and that was passed on to me.i eventually came to realize that it wasn't the norm but by the time I realized it I had already passed the same curse down to my daughter that is now in her early 20's and doing the same thing my mom did I did and no matter what I can't get her to see I was taught wrong about life and relationships and to learn from me now not when I didn't understand or know better..but I do understand she has to uncover her eyes herself and see but dang it I sure hope she doesn't waste many years like I did walking through relationships blind..thanks To The Almighty Above and you R.C Blakes helped me to understand what abuse was because I could of went my whole life thinking it was normal because my mother endured it until her late 50's then she decided to end all relationships with men not sure if that's good or bad.but i still admire her courage to finally work on herself and not die an old woman tied to abusive men

My mother was a doormat. My father was a horrible man, and she should never have tolerated it. She was the breadwinner, but she is very broken. Her example led to my first marriage to an abusive man. Dad was the one that wanted me to be tough, because he didn't know how to be a father to a girl. My mother was un-feminine because of her personal history, so she couldn't teach me how to be a woman. I may be broken from so many of my experiences, but I own it, and I'm doing my best to heal myself and the rest of the women in my family. I'm remarried to a much better man, but he's broken too, so we have to show lots of grace.

My mother and sister sometimes ridiculed my father behind his back and in front of me. That use to hurt me to hear her and my sister. When my mother was afforded the opportunity to travel to the Bahamas one year, Europe the next, and Africa when I was 13. I was asked to join her and my sister but I declined each time because my father being a workacholic would not go and he would have been by himself. If my mother had suffered some sort of incident where she couldn't return, I would have been just fine because I had my father. She had me the last of 6nwhen she was 41 and he was 43. He was delighted so said my brother but mom not so much. We didn't ever get along until the last years of her life but the dye had been cast and it was precarious. She died age 97 in 2014. I didn't attend her funeral. My father died in 1972 when I was 14 and my whole world changed. GOD bless them both

Bishop Blakes, there is no doubt in my mind that God ordained you to be in my life some months ago and that He knew I needed to watch this video today. I'm all the way in China studying the Word daily and repeated Proverbs 22 just hours before watching this video, in which you mention that chapter twice. I have always separated Proverbs 22: 6 and 7, saying one is for parenting and one is about money. But you paired them together and gave me an "Aha!" moment. I'm glad that you finally touched on the mother wound for daughters because you hit the nail on the head several times. When you started talking about personal finances (No. 6 48:53), I yelled out in my living room. That was my story until I reparented myself in personal finances and started sharing my story with others. I'm now coaching a young lady 10 years younger than me who inherited terrible money practices from her mom. I'm gonna share clips from this video with her, doing my Titus 2 duty. THANK YOU, Bishop Blakes, for answering the call on your life! I'm currently studying the book of Esther with my sisters in Christ and you are very much my Mordecai. Your teachings have been those I desperately need from my father. CONGRATULATIONS, FIRST LADY LISA BLAKES, on getting ordained as a minister by your husband. What an accomplishment! :) Peace and blessing to the Blakes family and my sisters growing from this channel.
