The Scenic sold today. It’s now gone to its new home. It’s the end of an era! The e-Up is doing us so proud so far, you can check out the couple of videos currently out on my channel.

I have the same car year and model as yours Daniel and it clocked in over 200k miles and the engine still sounds like new. I do all the servicing and all I replaced on it are the suspension, steering rods and starter motor. It is so practical and it really is a shame that car manufacturers stopped producing MPVs. It created loads of memories with the kids from camping to countless vacations. I'll hold on to my Renault till it decides to quit.

I have a 2009 grand scenic dynamique with most of the toys (no sat nav). and despite the few electrical bugs it's been a good car in the year I've had it. it's done 115,000 miles so far, 10,000 of those done just this year and I have had zero engine squabbles. You call yours Sally, I call mine Sid lol. he's a 1.9dci. the Renault dci blocks are good and solid and last a lifetime if looked after. great review for a great car!

Another brilliant video - you are such a natural in front of a camera (and you aren't boring at all!) Hope your Dad and brother (assuming he's younger but heading the same way as you) can fit ok in the back of the smaller Up! Would love to have seen you escape the boot by going over the back seats - I'm sure you're agile enough, but would still have been fun to watch! :P

Really interesting video and really nice to see such a young bloke knowing his stuff, showing the important things about the car people actually want to know and an honest review. We are seeking one of these second hand as we dont have much money but we have seen some nice ones of this model, just needed a little push and videos like this give it I think.

Great review Daniel. The Scenic still looks fresh today and remains perfect for families. Love the light coloured interior, as most of my cars have been dark/black. Very bland. Luckily we can usually switch of the driving aids - I'm not a fan and prefer to drive myself! The E-Up will be an interesting replacement.

A nice review, well presented! We as a family have had our Grand Scenic lll 2014 1.6dci for three years! In that time I have spent just shy of 3000 euros keeping it on the road!! This does include servicing. What is good about this car? Excellent load carrying capacity Good stereo Good comfort Good economy. Good acceleration. Good heating and ac system. We live in N. Spain. Bad points: Wing mirror blind spot (I have fitted little round extentions stuck to the lens) Headlights adequate Useless picnic trays in the back recessed into the front seats so you cannot put a bottle in the hole! Does not like to start on damp mornings Constant niggles with the electronic handbrake Sat nav is a pain to programme and sometimes just switches off Water ingress into the cabin and into the underfloor storage bins caused by blocked drain holes (we live in a rural area) Mass air flow sensor failing and restricting the cars performance and use of cruise control Hole in air intake pipe restricting performance Timing chain tensioner worrn out. Stop start function has a mind of its own It has taken a lot of time and money keeping this car on the road, but these issues have been over a three period and the car now has 207,000km on the clcok! We have averaged just under 40,000km per year over the last three years. Would I buy another one? Probably not! Although, I actually like the car, it bites me too often and I can say hand on heart it throws up a problem every few months, some minor and some major!

I very like it! We now got a 2005 Scenic, and this is gonna be our next car! We’re looking at one which is a phase 3, with start stop, heated seats and a 1.2 TCe petrol with 130 hp. In red, for €10399

Brilliant review Daniel, I completely get where you were coming from with your comments on finding a suitable replacement, I’ve had my current car for the same amount of time as you’ve had Sally and when they have served you well it’s incredibly difficult to think of something to replace them with.

I have had two Scenic's - both 1.6 petrol - never had an issue with either and would have another in a heartbeat

i miss our 2005 scenic we used since 2012 just scrapped it the day of the queens funeral before that we also had an r reg 97 scneic very rare now
