Cable tie the clutch pedal back, that way you'll have both hands free to put the pollen filter in without creasing it

Excellent choice! I got one with 26, 000 miles for £1500 in 2022. Great for puttering about small towns. Not ULEZ compatible tho. I'd keep it! As a kind of base car so you always have a car security.

And what do people say about French cars?? ELECTRICS And mine is no different - ABS been an on-going issue for 10yrs+ - indicators blink faster under breaking - windows sometimes won't wind up etc etc And as more tech is introduced it's a NO from me

Must say mate your videos made me get myself a little 100hp as a runabout and i love it. From someone who has owned some special cars this little cracker is a great heap of fun. Also in terms of presenting, your exceptional at it, keep going mate

Very rare without the wing - it was part of a recall to cure instability issues...! At the time, it seemed like every mk1 TT was that colour! Nice venue - could shoot other content there...;)

Yep, it was! Annoyingly it was after the video was filmed I properly discovered that. Yes… a certain C63 AMG would look nice against those doors 😉

Somebody will be no doubt correct me if I'm wrong, however I'm pretty sure that when the TT was originally released, within a year it had a recall due to high speed crashes on the autobahn and at least one in the UK. Early cars went back to Audi to have the wing fitted.

That's correct! But what happened I understand, is that the recall was a two step one. It consisted on rear suspension tweaks + a bit of extra weight on the rear, to make the tail a bit more stable, ESP, and the wing. What I heard is that the very early recall cars had to make two appointments. The first one with everything but the wing, and the second one with the wing, because they hadn't shipped from Germany yet. That's how some cars skipped the wing but got the other things that also help a bit with stability (my car is in this situation, as it has ESP but no wing). As long as you don't go crazy on autobahns at 180 km/h or more, should be fine (so, legal speeds should be no problem).

Don’t sweat about it being boring Daniel. It was like meeting up with a mate saying “so what you been up to today?” And just telling about your day. Not every day has to be exciting but, every day is interesting. Poor Toby, he looked so tired 😂 but I’d have loved that dinner. New to your channel and loving it. You’re a natural broadcaster/journalist and I’m certain you have a very bright future in motoring journalism. I don’t know if you know of Harly Jones? He has a U Tube channel called CarTraction? He’s only young (about 16 ish) but like you he’s very articulate and knowledgable a natural broadcaster. He’s more into classic cars, memorabilia but he also covers race meets. I’m sure you could both could make a great collaborative programme together. His Dad Rick runs the OCC classic car channel and I’ve noticed he has commented on yours so a bit of a connection there. We need to encourage youngsters into our world us oldies are dropping off the perch so need young enthusiasts to revitalise our motoring world Well done Daniel on a great channel which I really love

It actually ended up being the cover artwork for a videogame (Google "Super Woden GP2") that is available on Steam and will release on consoles as soon as end of this month! It's a great game and I encourage everyone to check it out if you like classic old school driving games.

Nürburgring, looks like amazing fun no matter how fast you are going, the slower you go the longer it lasts. The GP Circuit was very wet, I was half expecting you would slide out of control. Filming the speedo would have either confirmed your hero status or not. 😄

I guess the Panda deserves a bit of rest, however make a few videos over the summer (it may actually stop raining at some point) before you put your A 'levels to good use.

Daniel, that was an excellent series of videos, it looks like you and your mate had a fantastic trip. I wish I had been able to do that trip when I was your age, but neither had a reliable car nor the money to afford to do it. As someone that's old enough to be your grandfather, I remember having to use French toilets like those in Reims when we went on a school trip to Nice in France during the summer of 1971. I'm looking forward to seeing your future content. As a retired community safety officer and knowing that you're currently in the vulnerable age group for road accidents, I would just say "Please Take Care".
