You cannot ignore the fact that he’s only eight and should be in school. He’s losing his childhood. This is a sad reality of poor countries.

I realize that he's doing this to help his family earn an income and he's doing a great job. The food looks fantastic, and he probably could put many adults to shame in the kitchen, but this actually makes me very sad to watch.

Young Afzaal was 12 then in reality, and is 15 now. He always pretends to be younger to amaze you. That said, he is incredibly active at work and a great asset. What this shows is his prep for the afternoon rush. He twice-fries the chips, fairly slowly, and adds plenty of Pakistani flavourings. They are crispy and delicious, if a little 'hot' (in American English: 'spicy') for Western tastes. The stall is run by his uncle, and is very well-known and popular.
