I have no idea why, but 80s commercials make me feel good. It's not necessarily because it's nostalgic, because it doesn't matter whether or not it's about something I recognize from my childhood.

Wow! Now this was the borderline year as the 70’s came to the end, and the 80’s began. I was 5 and in kindergarten (80/81) around this time, and I actually remember this broadcast. Those cereal commercials bring back memories too. This would be the year I would start to get familiar with television program schedules, and reading the TV Guide. I had the Merlin via hand me down from my cousin and had a blast with it! Electronic games sure were clunky back then. 😆

We somehow had Stop Thief's electronic thing without the game. We called it the car alarm game.

Back when you could have sugar in your cereal names.:) Interesting they put Hong Kong Phooey with Godzilla as a combo.

all these games were just a little bit before my time (would've only been one year old) the only electronic game I really remember having (as far as the early pre-Tiger era games are concerned) was Super Cobra by Entex! I remember my dad worked at a record store and I'd sit there on my little game just playing away.... good times!

Kenneth Kimmins as the dad in Sugar Smacks spot? I don't think I remember the 2nd game, Split Second. I do recall a football game that was shaped nearly the same way. Had Bank Shot and Tudor handheld electronic football.

10:26 ..."with lovable Shmoo, Captain Bxvqg"... however you spell these last syllables. A rather different way to end a Thanksgiving Day, I'd say.
