Maybe swap Perlman and Stallone, so Perlman plays Beast and Stallone plays Sabretooth - Perlman had experience as a more brooding and contemplative yet nonhuman figure when he played Vincent in the 1980s TV series Beauty and the Beast. If that was done the inevitable Wolverine / Sabretooth fight scene would be amazing between Russell and Stallone.

P.S. - The first X-Men movie almost happened in the 1980s. In the early 1980s a plan was floated to make a movie themed around the Dazzler character, which would have starred Bo Derek. The idea of lights and song in the Disco era was very appealing. However, the movie never happened.

Phoebe looks just right for her age here, but Jennifer`s likeness needs to be a bit more de-aged as she was all in her teens for this time period (see Labyrinth movie) & she did not look like what is shown here until 2 decades later in perhaps the mid 2000s. I can see why Phoebe was chosen as she looks like the one from the comics & the 1990s animated series, & Jennifer sort of looks like Elliot Page (formerly Ellen) from the Brian Singer film version. 04/13/24

Great casting choices. I would have chosen someone a bit younger for Rogue, but no reason this choice would not work! Being a child of the 70's and 80's, I LOVE the idea!!

Very inspired casting. Was thinking more Grace Jones for Storm since she was the bigger star in the 80s and Angelas career didnt really start jumping till the 90s

As an 80's kid whose uncanny x-men started with the brood saga, I fully approve of that lineup. I was looking for at least one that was wrong, one that would not work. All I can say is that's a great line-up.
