Tom Cruise as Cyclops is actually perfect casting! In fact, he literally looks exactly the way I would have imagined a real life Cyclops to look. He has the swagger and commanding presence to be a team lead too. Would have been an awesome cast with guys like Depp on board and Gibson as Wolverine. Man, there would have been some awesome tension between Gibson's Wolverine and Cruise's Cyclops, because Gibson can be very aggressive and forward while still retaining a sense of broken and fragile sensibilities, while Cruise can definitely come across as being egotistical and smarmy but with good intentions. Would have played off of one another in a great way.

Bro this is like the best dream team of actors (maybe just maybe not Ben Kingsley, I still prefer Patrick Stewart) - BUT the rest of the cast is stellar man. The kid in me would watch it 5 times minimum and spent the rest of my summer holidays working to buy the figurines. Johnny Depp as sweet talker Gambit hitting on Kate Beckinsale Rogue... dayum....!!!
