I wasted no time. The new engine is IN, baby! I opted for a 5.0 Aluminator SC with forged internals. This should be fun...

Man just that intro alone got me giddy! I'd be more than happy with the tidiness of that wiring given the amount of space constraints. Give yourself some credit man! You look absolutely beat though. I get it, trying to make deadlines can be hell. Sucks even more if you miss them. Just make sure you take some time off for some R&R afterwards. Take time to spend the holiday with your friends and family and recharge. Your health is important man.

Things to look out for on wiring an ecu. Inappropriate grounds! Shouldn’t be a problem with a supplied matching harness but not all grounds are equal. You normally need a dedicated power and ground for the ecu only. In the ecu there are grounds for multiple voltages and they should not be connected together. An ecu out ground should not be used for anything but what the manual says it’s for and don’t connect it to a common ground point. Many ecus will use the current drop between a power and ground circuit to monitor the circuit. Careful how you route the wires , some of them don’t play well with others. Running cam or crank sensor wires beside coil wires for example can lead to strange issues. Make sure you wire components as the ecu needs them to be wired. Some components can have the ground and power wires switched and they will still seem to work but give the ecu a migraine. Bad components. Sometimes something brand new out of the box is a dud. Crank and cam angle sensors are notorious for this as well as some map and maf sensors. Mind the gap. Hall effect sensors need the correct space from the reluctor. large bits of magnetic metal too near the sensors may also upset them, they also don’t like heat much.

Seems you mentioned distilled water on purpose. I've learned reverse osmosis water is ideal for aluminum systems. Distilled water has all the minerals removed, therefore leeches the minerals from the aluminum.

Whenever you have some time can you go over again the chassis and body mods? In your earlier disassembled episodes you talked briefly about it but I'm curious about the chassis dimensions, I know you chopped 3" off the top of the cab but is it also channeled on the frame? Would be cool to get more info on that..

@@stanceworks Well sorry to hear but I think everyone that watches has faith you will figure it out. The project is so unique and interesting that I am sure you have a big community of fans now that can bring all sorts of help and assistance to help you. Am I one of them? Nope. I will just cheerlead on the sides but next time I am down in Socal, I would love to see this in person to truly appreciate the work. Good luck and I love the little tagline things you put under your name in the beginning of the videos. Your humor is right in line with mine.

I love this thing! Have you noticed any issues with the intake air temps? I noticed you have the heat exchanger inlet/outlet on the top/same side (looks like a dual-pass csf Rywire rad which is meant to flow horizontally). Might work if you've got enough electric pump, but pushing the coolant uphill is definitely going to slow it down. Just an observation, stoked its running again!

The dash is cool. I didn't know you were going to do that. The juxtaposition of new and old really sets it off. Little peeks of technology really set off the duality of this build.

My wild guess: either spark plug or fuel injector out of timing/switched, as you have tons of things crammed into that tiny space where the original gas tank was. It's too easy to mess up and switch wires after 14 hours of labor and it would pass unnoticed.
