Fern has great material. She doesn't do incidentals, it's mostly story-telling comedy. That is much more difficult and requires a lot of pacing and structure to keep the audience reeled in. But it's fantastically done!! Big fan.

I've never experienced seeing a comedienne who has performed in the manner Fern does here. I love everything about her. My first real kiss and a bit of a feel was with a fellow patient in a psychiatric ward when I was maybe 15 years old. We managed to lock lips a few times before a nurse caught us, which initiated a state of constant monitoring of each of our whereabouts from then on until she was released. I still remember her name 50 years later. I also learned how to play pool there at a very high level.

Wonderful set first saw you on Taskmaster, as a teen boy went to a hospital also, they didn't belive I was actually sick with a disease, till they got tests back but did learn to play an amazing game of Foozeball or table soccer, body is still crap 30 years later, guess I didn't just want to miss a few days of school lol

@@ShipWindow In some places it can be a very dangerous thing for people to know you're LGBTQ+ but also, it's never okay for someone else to decide to out you. It's an individual person's choice whether or not to disclose their sexuality, especially if they aren't completely in a place that they're comfortable divulging that information to people. The ex clearly decided to try and blow up OPs life. I can only hope that they were pleasantly surprised by how accepting people were instead of the all to common opposite response.

I am one of "those guys" who hates on female comedians not being funny. But Fern is one of the female comedians who does make me laugh. She does make sex jokes, but they're told in a novel way and sex jokes aren't the bulk of her set. She's got creativity with how she delivers her jokes and she utilizes her accent to sell her jokes too. Its refreshing to see a female comedian actually do standup and excel at it.
