Miller's Outpost my favorite go-to.and for some odd reason I would always ask the sales clerk about wearing something and they would actually help me out.

Awe man this was a good station growing up here in the bay as a kid. I get teary eyed nostalgic for it. Good times as s kid

5:13 - I remember there being a lot of controversy surrounding colorizing movies around this time. Siskel and Ebert even did an entire show about it, and called it "vandalism". At the time, I did not see what the big deal was. But now, I can't stand looking at movies that were colorized at the time. Those soft, pastel colors just look so wrong. I am so glad that this fad never went anywhere, and that the original black and white classics survived.

I remember in the 90's every Christmas classic was colorized on TV and for VHS sales. Miracle on 34th street, everyone had yellow/green teeth. I remember seeing colorized It's A Wonderful Life. I don't think I've ever seen that version again, after it aired on TV.

Does it seem there were a lot more car ads than normal? Was May the time when new cars came out in the 80s?

There are typically a lot of car sales and promotions around Memorial Day, due to car dealerships trying to clear their inventory before the new models come out in the fall. These also aired on a local independent station, and aren’t exactly indicative of what ads were playing nationally at the time.
