I had a bunch saved but was running low. I got lucky buying a collection. Plan is to grade some, sell, and use $ to buy more, it’s just getting harder and harder to find deals, esp. on eBay.

I am having so much fun doing this, it's got me looking and collecting hockey cards again after a long hiatus. We love board games also! Funny, my wedding day ended with us sitting around a table playing Settlers of Catan!

My local card store sold these packs in the late 80s and I bought so many of them and the gum card was stuck back in 1988. Yes, I still own the cards not damaged by gum in 2024.

Yes, gum damage and wax damage pretty much killed two cards instantly in the pack. I have an Yzerman with an epic gum stain on the back, front is fine, just don’t turn it over!

OPC's "factory", if you will, was actually about 1 hour from where I currently reside. Still hear stories about the place to this day! Nice rip, big thumbs up for the Coffey!! Thanks for sharing, good sir!

Yes! One of my favorite pulls as well. I do like Trottier a little more since I was able to interview him and he signed a card for my son.

So many centering issues, or I would think about sending it in for grading. But still a sweet card!!!

Denis Herron is pronounced Den-ee Hair-on. For Trottier, a better pronunciation would be Trot-chay instead of Trot-ee-ay. I don't know if you've mentioned Mark Messier yet, but that would be similar. It would be Mess-yay instead of Mess-ee-ay. That's it for tonight. I should be all caught up in a day or two.
